Microphone not working online gaming
G_Sup replied to Bonedaddy500's topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
Try going to Audio Properties, record playback, and make sure your Microphone is selected. This is something I have to do everytime I reformat. It always has the "What you hear" selected but not the mic. -
Problems with CFX3200-DR? Post here (merged)

Nope, us beta testers are still testing the board for DFI. God, over 32,000 views on this topic and still no fix. -
I totally agree, but since it only takes a few seconds and you're not booting into windows it's not that much of an inconveinience. It sure beats freezing while gaming, work, ect.

Well, I found a cure...at least for me. When powering up I hit reset when it's identifying the SATA drives (the screen right after the memory test). Let it identify the drives and then hit reset. When doing this I have never had a freeze. Before doing it I would always get the freeze 5-10 mins after booting which resulted in a reset.

PSU issue? Have you looked at my sig?

It didn't work for me either. I've been having the exact same problem forever.

Still no hope for crossfire though. Would love to dump the CCC.

CFX3200 Help my Chipset is overheating??
G_Sup replied to jprine's topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
I'm having the same problem but I never associated it to the chipset. Basically, when I cold boot it will run fine for about 10 mins and then just freeze/lockup. I have to reset and then it will run fine for as long as the next time I shut it off. What's really weird is this happens every single time I cold boot....and I mean every time. I've grown so acustomed to it that it's just a regular proceedure now. Turn on PC, wait to freeze and then reboot. -
Yes, Lost coast does have a stress test.

In the exact same boat as Martin. I spent a fortune on my current system and selected DFI soley because of the success I had on their past mobo's and the fact that DFI seemed to support their mobo's. I have never had as many problems with a mobo as I have with this POS. I check these boards 5 times a day hoping that DFI will actually fix this problem. They should truly be ashamed. They will no longer be getting my business and I'll make sure to pass on the word of their current failure of a mobo. Back to Abit for me.

Here's the only ULI drivers they have which were updated on 3-1-06. ftp://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket...0DELUXE/ULi.zip (These are for the A8R32-MVP Deluxe) -

Well, that was a month and a half ago. They must really be testing that beta patch! LOL -

I'm also one of the "unlucky" that have this problem and it's pretty frustrating that DFI has seemed to of dropped the ball in regards to this. I check the boards 4 times a day in hopes that Angry...er Happy Games has posted a new BIOS that resolves this issue. Is this not their flagship board at the moment? Judging from the price I paid for it I could of swore it was. -
Thanks for the head's up raju. Have you tried them yet?

No FPS boost for Half-Life based games for Crossfire?
G_Sup replied to Tanquen's topic in Video Cards and Monitors
Hmmm, I'm thinking there must be something wrong. I'm getting a little over 180fps on the CS:S stress test. As for the crashing on CF in 06', I'm wondering if it might be a heat issue. The main problem I've had with these cards is heat. For some reason the 6.5's do not increase the fan rate for my cards, thus getting them as high as 90c before they crash out of games. My only resort has been to use ATI Tool just for the fan settings (not overclocking). It's really lame that ATI doesn't implement more user functions such as fan control and an easy profile interface like Nvidia. I was crashing in Deep Freeze until I started using ATI Tool to control fan speed. Funny thing is I returned my defected 7900gtx junk for the same reason, only not heat related. I've also cut out a hole in my case and installed a 120mm fan blowing directly on the cards. Decreased idle temps by around 8-10c depending on the time of day.
