  1. I don't know what I did, but it's back... the lag/loading issue... tried going to diag mode again didn't work. I will try that again after my sims tonight, see if maybe I missed something that needs to be disabled. God this pisses me off, finally had my system happy and my damn liquid cooling having bubbles and a leak made me have to remove it and now I'm back to the same issues I had the first time I removed it >
  2. Yeah. I'm hopin' by some shere feat of magic I can pull off 4Ghz but I don't think it's gonna happen til I at the very least get another cold wintery night to Prime on so my load temps won't be so bad.

  4. Yep and I just passed 15 hours of Prime95 at 3.8GHz with my new Ultra 1600W so she's definitely not a dud Posting the OCDB now hehe gotta remember how to do one, haven't done one in so long. http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showpost.p...94&postcount=95
  5. Once I get full stability with the new PSU I plan to do that, but I'm having that g** d*** 6-7 hours in Prime95 freeze issue, so trying to rectify that first lol I think it's just kinks from the new PSU being in and my RAM being in the wrong slots, we'll see. It's at 6 hours now, no errors/freezes yet and temps are the same as when it passed at 3.8 last time, so I ain't too worried.
  6. Yeah it is. Retesting with the new PSU @ 3.8GHz while I'm at work today, so hopefully I'll be coming home to a 100% stable computer that's good for some serious fragging tonight. I'll have to post my Windows XP Service Tweaks tonight (I made them when I first got XP based off of Black Viper's Service Tweaks, eliminates all non-essential services that the common gamer doesn't use). I was shocked when I first rebooted after doing them, 2 1/2 loading bars to get in to Windows. It has since gone up, but that was still impressive (now @ ~4 1/4 bars and steady). Musta been one of the services... dunno which one. Cuz now I can run Everest, my UPS Monitor, CoreTemps and Prime95 (was running when I left) and programs that usually take a while to load just normally when I'm not having issues (like PowerTools) load up quicker than normal. I like it :tooth: Hopefully I'll be posting tonight with 3.8GHz @ 1.48125Vs instead of 1.48275V, not like it's a huge diffy (CPUz doesn't even show a voltage readout difference thanks to the VDROOP Mod I did) but it does still make a slight difference in temps, I think... we'll see... didn't have time to sit there and watch load temps when it finally got to 8k cuz I woke up 30 minutes before I had to be to work ::Bleh:: lol Anywho :spam: I'm done :tooth:
  7. This PSU is sturdy when you get a working model. Passed all benchmarks AND!!!! I FIXED THE LAG :-D Dunno what program/service it was, but I went in to Diagnostic Mode, which only runs 12 services, and it wasn't there... so I did my Windows XP Services Tweaks from the good old days, disabled everything not needed for the next boot up, then removed Indexing and crap, and viola, Poof goes the lag :-D I'm very happy right now... 15.6K at 3.8GHz ain't too bad for an Ultra I think. I could probably break 16k with some heavy OCing on the card, but nah. I'm so looking forward to playing Crysis again... eeeexcellent. Anyway, I went from (in the position I'm in right now) having 60 Processes running, to right now, as we speak, with AOL, Xfire and two IEs running, 46 processes. One of the 14ish I disabled musta been the problem.
  8. Well I can now take comfort in the fact that it's not my motherboard or my ram. Different RAM, same effect. Guess I'll order a new hard drive and hope a fresh install with only that drive in will fix this.
  9. Well, new PSU works great so far, tested in 3DMark03 and passed, only dipped from 12.197 to 12.141 under 3DMark03 load (4000+FPS with just one card =-O) so that's good... However... Lag issue isn't gone. Loading a HTML file for viewing in IE takes 5-10 seconds just to pull up... it used to be instantaneous on my old configuration before all the problems started EDIT: Anyone? It only happens while loading certain things or closing certain things... ??? I'm going to shut down and try different RAM, if that has no effect I'm gonna order a new HDD and try that with a new install and all my files on there... if that don't work I dunno wtf I'm gonna do.
  10. Meh, ain't like mY PSU can handle the SLI of two Ultras full on anyway... can't wait to get my Ultra 1600W back, assuming it works this time, no more having to worry if 3DMark03 hitting 6000FPS is going to make my PSU shut down because of overamping every time I run it LOL
  11. Look at mine: Reservoir is the white/beige thing. I like having one, most people prefer a simple fill tank. I don't know HOW the person in the original poster's picture can handle having their fill tank RIGHT THERE where the video card is... I mean, how the f*** do they get the video card out? LOL
  12. Skimping on a PSU for an 8 series is like putting a Ford Pinto engine in a Lamborghini. NOT a good idea.
  13. Tested at 3.8GHz with the FSB:RAM @ 1:1 @ 1900MHz:950MHz, with those drivers and the 700/1725/1125 clocks on the card, 16257 :-D I imagine I'd be breaking down 20k's door, STABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME, if I still had SLI. Damn me for selling two of my three cards.
  14. Try the ones I just got, they increased the score to the 14506 number... I believe they're like 171.16 or some junk, I'll letcha know after I get ready for work, lol
  15. Well... I don't want to sound too optimistic but I think the BIOS flash may have fixed it partially at least... gonna test it out back at 3.8GHz tomorrow... did some tests at stock with the new drivers.... holy GOD did NVidia do somethin' nice: 169.28 drivers: 3Dmark06: 13836 at all stock on my system New drivers I tested: 3DMark06: 14506 =-O no OCing on any part in my system. DAYUM. 700pts from a driver revision. That's sick.
