Hello Linux users I have used many distros over the years, and really liked Arch Linux on my p4, after getting comfy in Suse then Ubuntu. Just got my new DFI + DC Opty system built and am looking forward to giving Linux a go on it. Will probably start with Ubuntu 5.10 x86_64. I don't have a ton of time to invest in it right now, tho ... last semester @ school ... taking Electronics, programming and even a (very outdated) linux class. c ya around

Do you think I might get better results after a few weeks of burn in? This machine has only been alive for 4 days (taking some nights off to cure AS5 & priming all night twice). I had it @ 275x10 for a while, but I think it failed pi. Always core 1 I see the idea though ... If I were @ 270x10 the cpu is the same but I'd be getting more out of my RAM. I'll check @ OCZ Thanks update: tried it .... errored out on memtest test #8 ... then set @ 9:10 and its right back to DDR245. would have to back off CPU so I went back. Gotta love that CMOS Reloaded feature

I have just settled on my stable OC settings for my 175 2700 = 245x11 @ 1.45v & 1:1 RAM I had some hope to do better, but its not bad. Some have equaled or bettered this with 4400s I'm sure. Also with 170s. I'm not exactly a pro at this ... I just got my 1st ever DFI board and this was my 2nd ever AMD64 build. Done loads of p4s and XPs just my 2c

I have the OCZ version (2x1GB) .... All I can say so far is that I get very unstable with CPC Enabled (1T) I have left everything else on Auto until I get the CPU prime stable. So far I can't get it stable @ 250x11 so I'm @ 245x11 now and will want to tighten timings to compensate for underspeed RAM. (maybe) .... or maybe I'll just be content with Auto and move on with my life :cool:

WOW! I am using a single XFX 6800GS and only scored `3000 in 3DMark 06!! 5853 in 05 (using free versions of 3Dmark) is SLi that much of a difference? or am I doing something wrong? I could probably spring for another GS soon if it matters THAT much!

Is it normal to have these tests perform much better in XP32 than XP64 ?? I was stuck at about 260x10 running everything in 64 only. Just installed XP32 and am up to 275x10 and still passing everything. I decided to make the change because I passed 24 hours of Memtest (flawlessly) at 255x11 but XP64 would not even think about booting.

I had serious issues trying OC settings in XP64 ... started dual booting and testing stuff in XP32 until I find my stable zone.
