  1. isn't the splitter included for 2 molex connectors to connect directly to the gfx? Cuz that's what it seems like in the picture.... or is it just a regular splitter which one end goes to card and the other 2 ends can connect to molex and link it to other stuff?
  2. i'm going to get another splitter because i don't have an extra 4-pin molex available... but do you really think that is the cause of the problem? Not enough power to the card?
  3. ok i just ran 3dmark05 and i got 7189... what does this mean? good? bad?
  4. so you think i should update my bios to 704-2bta for my ultra-D?
  5. well the gfx manual book diagram illustrates using the splitter and there are 2 molex connectors that look like it's coming from the PS. So I thought it needs 2 molex to power the gfx efficently? And yes, I have the one with black pcb. I was monitoring while i was playing every 10 mins or so... 60 cpu load and 48 C for gfx... seems ok to me... so I don't know what's wrong.... it's so irritaing cuz everytime i'm killing a boss and boom no signal detected -_- should i use some programs that stress the gfx? If so, what programs do this?
  6. So I have a xfx 7800gt as you can tell... And I've had this computer for 2 months now and it's pretty stable. Not overclocked. Then I bought guild wars 2 weeks ago and starting around last week or so, when I'm in the game playing, my monitor just shuts down (no signal detected) while the computer is still on. The hdd light (red) is on solid. So my theory is that my gfx card is getting too hot and shutting down itself? However, the gfx card came with a 1-2 splitter. I'm suppose to put the 1-molex splitter into the gfx card and conenct the other end, the one with 2 molex connector with 2 from the power supply. BUT I DID NOT DO THIS. Cuz I don't have 2 molex connectors available and so I did not use the splitter and just plug in 1 molex connector into the gfx card. Will this be the problem to me "crashing" during the middle of the game? I ran prime95 for 7 hours and no errors found.
  7. Ok I know the problem is with the nvidian ethernet port because I used the same router and cable modem for 3 years now and I just switched to a new comp 1 month ago. Even though in the local area connection the duration can go for days, sometimes AIM reconnects or I lose connection to a game server. Sometimes loading webpages are slow as well. Are there any solutions to this problem?
  8. Is the nvidia or the marvell better? Is one prefer over the other? And also since there are 2 ports on the mobo, is it possible to act as a "router"?
  9. yea but my 200gig IDE drive is close to full... that's why it takes that long to load windows... even though it's not booting from it, it still scans it >_
  10. I guess I have to wait for windows to load like 20 bars then =[
  11. how do i disable everythin else? I put first boot device as HDD and disabled the second and third boot device. Then I set boot priority for Hdd for SATA but then second is the IDE. Is there a way to remove the IDE hdd from the boot hdd priority?
  12. Can I configure a way that when windows load it won't scan my IDE hdd. I have 1 SATA hdd and 1 IDE hdd. I use the SATA hdd to load and the IDE hdd is only for data, but since I have lots of data in my IDE hdd it takes forever to load windows... yes I think windows still scan the IDE hdd even though I'm loading from the SATA one. Is there anyway to skip the IDE scanning at the beginning?
  13. so the blue head goes to the mobo and the black head goes to rom?
  14. now after i messed around with some cables, it won't even regonize the drive in bios. It said none for primary master. But I'm sure the Ide cable is plugged into the motherboard and to the cd rom and I plugged in a 4-pin molex into the cd rom also... anything I can do?
