3dmark scores after OC

28 December 2005 - 04:07 AM

Just thought Id ask how well your benches have improved by overclocking.

Mine:
3dmark2005 before = 6188, after = 7668
3dmark2003 before = 13182, after = 16325

Can I get past 2.7 Ghz? Or am I stuck...

Those are my settings, so far I could get cpu to 2.7ghz and boot into windows but then Id run superpi and get the blue screen so its unstable.

What settings can I mess with to get a higher clock? Is my ram my bottleneck?

OC'ed, Good marks, skippy gameplay

My info is in my sig.

Well, everytime I play bf2, I turn the corner or do something that involves a lot of guys or just random times it flickers in game, not the screen, just sort of like its a little lag very little though but enough to notice.

I get 7009 in 3dmark2005
above 26000 in 3dmark2001

Could it be because I only have 1 Gig of RAM?
Any suggestions will help.

Thanks,

Is this as far as it can go?

This is my first post in the forums...
I put the specs of my computer in my signature.

For the cpu
I overclocked cpu from 2ghz to 2.4ghz (any higher and it wont boot)
The FSB is 240 and the highest multiplier is 10
I raised the voltage of the cpu to 1.6v

For the ram
I set the timing for 2.5-3-3-6 1t and it runs at 240 Mhz

Other notes
CPU runs at around 25 - 30C
Mobo runs at around 30 -40C
Raised PCI-E frequency to 110 Mhz
I dont remember the exact number but it was around 6800 for 3d Mark 2005

Here is my dilema:
Shouldn't I be able to overclock my cpu even more?
I know its a newbish question but my ram says its 400 Mhz, why is it only 240 Mhz max? Is it because its limited by the mobo?
Should I overclock my PCI-E even more?

Thanks,
