I tried searching, but i did not see anyone having the similiar problems as me.
I have 2 hhds, one IDE(system), and the other SATA(storage).
I plug the SATA hhd into SATA connector 1 on the mobo, and when i boot up, sometimes it will read, sometimes it will not.
If it reads successfully, i'm able to boot into windows and when it's in windows, the "Autoplay" window will appear once in a while to prompt me. Sometimes, the hhd icon in 'My Computer' will disappear! Before it reappear, it starts to promt me.
If it doesnt detect the hhd, it will state 'Detecting devices' at the posting..
I'm a total SATA noob. Do i need to install any drivers in order to detect my SATA hhd at all times?
And.. when the sata is detected, 'Safely Remove Hardware' button will appear in my taskbar. Before i switch from P4 to AMD, there's no such problem in my P4 mobo..
Anyone?
