I have xfx 7800 gtx and it looks like it is ot enabled under properties was it on the page that has Core slowdown threshold 115c GPU core temperature 51c and then has a check box for Notify when GPU core exceeds threshold. Mine is not checked but I get bad fps for this card.

I do not think this option is enabled on my system.

In looking at the results I should be getting alot better fps. I have it in the one at the top next to cpu I have had it in the bottom one when I was checking on the heat to see where things would run cool at. Then I got this new case with water cool on the cpu so I move it back up next to the cpu. I think I am running 77.71 drivers tried to up grade but the other drivers would not install. I am just not sure where the problem is comming from VID, Mobo, HD, BIOS settings that is why I asked if there is a program that will test each component of my system like a stress test on each to get a bench mark to see where the slow down is comming from.

I have posted here before about the bad fps I get with Q4 and Fear etc... I also am getting some bad VID in windows like the part of the bar will turn black until I reboot. This is not after playing a game but just running normal windows programs. I would like to know if anyone has any thoughts on this. I have tested the Mem and have 2gig of good mem and the system is water cooled so the cpu is running around 33c chipset is running around 46c. Is there any good programs that I can run to test out the system to see if there is bad component or if the mobo is bad I am at a lost. I will run any kind of test that will help get this resolved as with Q4 I am only getting 5 - 10 fps with all the options turned up and the res at 1600/1024 I think that is it. BF2 will not even load with all the options turned up. Also if someone could post a good BIOS settings to try if they think the problem is there. Thanks

Yeah I think so to but I do not know what else to try I have the latest VID drivers that will install I think 77.71 or something with 7's in it not at my pc so not sure here. BF2 will not even load with every thing up and Q4 get something like 9 - 14 fps with every thing on. I have got 2g of mem that I know is good as I have run memtest86 on it for several hours. Again any help with this would be great.

I get around 25 fps with 3dmark2005 I think I will run it again and post it here.

I use Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/) it is easy to use you start it up and then set the screen location. Then min it and start the game and the fps will show up.

One other thing when I try and install the 81.++ drivers I get this error: The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

So when you are getting 72fps do you have all the Graphic settings to Max.. IE: Ultra High/1680/1200 or what ever that one is and then go into Advance G. and turn on the Anti to 16x etc... I am using Fraps to see what mine are at and with every thing up 10 - 13 fps maybe.

I looked for the 81.84 but would not install. Anyone have the BIOS set up or would that not affect the fps issue.

With the system I just built what kind of FPS should I get running Q4 with every thing all the way up. I only get around 10 fps with this set up and that seems low to me I was thinking I should get around 30 - 40 fps with the VID Card I have and the Raid 0 etc... BF2 will not even load in Single player mode with it running High Graphics I have them both set to 1600x1200 I think with the other option all the way up. Some help or info here would be great. I have 2 gig of ram and have run memtest86 on it with no errors so I am thinking it is the mobo or vid card.
