  1. That is a great price, wish you had a link for it. I have an extra $100 now and I have narrowed down my search to 2 rigs: Which if these would be best for video/audio/picture editing and encoding? Custom built Rig: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWi...tTitle=Encoding Or this HP Pavilion A6544F: http://www.officemax.com/omax/catalog/sku.jsp?skuId=21674252 Both rigs come within $5 of each other after figuring in shipping and taxes. Thanks for any help.
  2. Good point, I forgot to mention that I already have Vista Ultimate x64 so I will be installing it onto the system. I guess the video card I picked is gone now. I will just use a 7300GT that i added to the list now. Syngensmyth, where is the OCZ 700 cheaper? How does the Phenom's stack up against the q6600's? I was looking at a couple of local stores today and they has some clearance phenom PC's for around what I was going to spend. I'm not afraid to build the system myself, just wondering how they compare to each other. Thanks for the input so far everyone. EDIT: Also forgot to ask if I should just look at Dual Core or stick with Quad. I'm figuring quad since I will be using it for encoding, but not sure if anything utilizes all 4 cores yet?
  3. I've been out of the market for a while now and not too sure which equipment is best to pick. I have recently gotten into video editing and photo editing and my laptop cannot keep up with it. I am looking to build a desktop to get multi-tasking and some encoding power. This is the rig I've picked out so far, can you please tell me what you think? http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWi...hListTitle=test I am trying to keep cost as close to $600 as possible. Thanks for any input.
