  1. Let's see, so I've bumped the nb voltages a bit and followed some of what suedenim linked me too. It seems to have disappeared. speede, i do have the latest build for sp3 and it was doing that before I put sp3 on so, probably not the culprit. So anyway, I'm at 3.2, been this way for a few days and it hasn't crashed out so I'm going to bump it up to 3.4 tonight and see what happens. I have my exit exams for grad school here in a few weeks so I'm trying to focus on studying instead of fun stuff. Anyway, thanks for the help yall
  2. Ok, so I primed it stable for 8 hours at 3.2Ghz. But when I stopped prime and started doing stuff, the taskbar froze up. Not sure what to make of it, so I bumped the NB voltage and SB voltage a bit. I am thoroughly flumoxed at this point and I'm one step away from just reinstalling windows.
  3. Reclocking as we speak, I had an issue with my taskbar freezing up. So negate that. However, I think it had to do with something I fidgeted in the bios and not the clock itself, considering I primed it stable for 6-8 hours at 3.6Ghz. We'll see. There was a comparo between the Tuniq and the Ultra 120 xtreme. Have no idea why i've been calling it, xp, oh wait, i used to own the xp. But the 120 beat the tuniq. http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling/showdoc.aspx?i=2981&p=3
  4. Ok, so I went back to stock settings and it went away, so, I'm slowly redoing my oc now. Going .2Ghz at a time and priming for at least 6 hours after each bump. It may take me a week to get back over 3.4 but I don't care anymore. Might as well go slow and steady not worry about it later.
  5. Poor Mary Jane, getting a bad rep for what the guy is doing. He would have probably screwed it up high or not. Who the hell sticks memory in upside down?
  6. Haha, it was funny to see how serious they were getting over Donkey Kong. And it really sucked you in with that Billy guy playing the heel. I was definitely rooting for Wiebe to whoop him.
  7. Fairly new install considering I always reinstall OS if I get a new mobo. I ran spybot, ad-aware, and avg in safe mode and they didn't find anything. All the programs you listed I've had freezes without shareaza running, and avg, not running.
  8. Hey guys I've been having an issue with taskbar freezing up randomly. It's kind of odd because I prime stabled my system for about 6-8 hours not too long ago. I've reverted back to stock to see if it's my overclock. In the meantime could someone take a look at my hijackthis log to see if I'm bugged? 9. Solution: Using XP SP1 disc and do all updates manually, PITA, but oh well.
  10. It's because the file was named improperly and windows is really sensitive about that crap. I had it happen to me before so I moved all the content I wanted to keep out of that folder and deleted the whole folder. Try that.
  11. I just watched it today with my brother, we got it off of Netflix. Very cool documentary about two guys who compete to get the highest score possible on the original Donkey Kong game. It's pretty cool, one guy is kind of a huge jerk off whereas the other guy is like Joe America school teacher who's nice to everybody. I liked it anyway.
  12. I kind of had this problem as well. Try using an older version of Windows XP SP1, it has a lot less data on it so you'll have less problems when installing initially. However, you will have to load up all your drivers for every single little thing and then update will take about twice as long with MS updates website. However, I've found this eliminated a lot of my problems when trying to install XP Pro with a newer version. I really never had any problems load with custom driver.cabs until this most recent build. I ran into that problem kind of and went this route to remedy it. Oh, would you be using a sata disc drive by any chance?
  13. 1/3 is still a big chunk, considering, how everything revolves around the internet now as opposed to the days when AOL was charging by the minute First the internet and now the TV's. I think I saw a helmet for over clocking your brain the other day... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...d=1766&ito=1490
  14. I like it. It's got some fun elements and some that can get repetitive. If anything else I liked GoW about ten times more in terms of game play and story. However, how many of you guys can't admit you played Goldeneye Deathmatch on N64 until your thumbs bled, your eyes hurt, and you almost peed yourself because you didn't want to take a bathroom break? I think Halo is just a very easy to comprehend, medium paced FPS that a lot of different styles can pick up and play well just like Goldeneye. Big maps, different weapons, vehicles, decent story, but very fun multiplayer makes this game approachable by many different people. I think that's the main reason for the mass appeal. I'm pretty good at Halo but if someone who's never played Halo before but plays a lot of FPS picks it up we can have a good death match within the hour. However, if same said guy picked up GoW he'd end up throwing his control pad for at least twice the amount of time before it got even remotely fun. To each his own, I liked original Wolfenstein, Doom 1 and 2, Duke Nuke'em and in veritably Halo.
  15. Mass Effect is like Brute Force + KOTOR. I loved Brute Force, KOTOR was pretty fun, and so I'm liking Mass Effect. Favorite game thus far, I . you not has been this totally stupid game you can pick up for 10 bucks called Earth Defense Force 2017 or something like that. You just walk around shoot hoards of alien bugs. It's so damned insane and silly it's hilarious. Bioshock, Gears of War, Halo 3, Burnout, all get thumbs up from moi. Dead Rising, FNR3, so many to choose from!
