I don't have the Nvidia IDE drivers installed and am benching 60Mbs? Maybe I do, I'll have to double check.
-
Which ports are Sata2? 1-4 are controlled by Nvidia system so I thought they all were sata2. My WD Sata2 i benched last night was at about 60mbs and is on the Sata 1 connection on the board.

I installed SmartGuardian and it was reporting CPU temps around 30-32C. I'll check on the bios setting tonight. Thanks much

I have the Thermaltake inexpensive SilentBoost K8 CPU cooler. I had it plugged in to the CPU fan header on the DFI Ultra-D. When I booted it stayed on for about 10 secs then the fan shut off. I checked the seating of the cooler and everthing else and could find no problems so I connected the fan power to a adaptor and hooked to the power supply. It runs fine that way. I was wondering whether the board is doing some kind of intellegent fan control? I was too paranoid to leave it on the MB header with the fan shut off. Otherwise everything is well.

AMD 3800+ Runs Like my Old '286
Swylen replied to RSavage's topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
My 3000 Venice NF3. computer was benching at PIII 500mhz speeds until I noticed my CPU Usage at 100% at idle. Turns out my Belkin Wireless G PCI card in the bottom most PCI slot was causing it. Moved it and all was well. -
Thanks for the help Dave. Enermax 535W on the way from the egg. (speedy fast)

Trying to cancel my order. I got it for $130 shipped which isn't wasting money. I've had good luck with this PS on 4 Balls To the Wall PC's in SLI configs.
-
I really hope that one exception is the 680W TT. My buddy has the DFI SLI board with this PS so I know it works in SLI just dandy.
-
I read lots talking about 480W requirement. The manual only recommends more than 400W. Will my native 24pin Thermaltake 430W cut it? I just got a built right before bed and only fired a couple times. Long beeps. Got some tweaking to do. Gonna try the minimum w/1 stick trick. I just want to know if I should bother with this PS. It seems kinda flimsy and light compared to the previous 20pin Thermaltakes that I've worked with. http://www.xoxide.com/thermaltake-tr2-430w-psu.html

[Resolved]replacement audio module?
Swylen replied to a topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
CS wants $20 for a new audio module and backplate. I understand the backplate but missing the audio module makes the refurb deal bunk. What other motherboard ships without audio? It's a feature not an add-on. They just helped me make up my mind to get one of the Audigy2 deals that are floating around now anyways.
