  1. If you go Gentoo, have another computer handy to view the manual, or print it out. It gets sticky when installing.

The windows skin (im assuming) is style xp. it comes with the installer. i found the trillian pro skin on trillians site and the winamp skin on winamps site.

meh, just skin your programs and get style xp and object bar. there are the good things about mac os, the looks.
  4. i use the windows nt ( comes with 2000 and xp) boot loader to load into GRUB. there is a tut somewhere. its titled "How to Install Gentoo in a Win XP/NT configuration" sorry no address
  5. mosaic....ok firefox. i agree with someone's statment earlier about opera being alright, just with too many features.
  6. Why not try some other distros. I think Gentoo works on 64-bit, gotta get the right cds tho and you have to check to see if theres a boot: thingy.
  7. A bit messy, but you get the idea.
  8. hey clay, dont mean to be rude, but the "OC" on the fans could do with some improving. just some constructive criticism, but otherwise very nice. what are some of the other ones?
  9. well a livecd based linux is not meant for gaming, maybe some applications, but nothing like gaming or video editing.
  10. not elitist, just referring to what Mr_Yuck said. personally, a from-source distro is better as you can pick what you want. yeah, its harder, but its more flexible.
  11. lol, those lil systray messages give you wallhack in some first person shooters. its unintentional, but hey why not?
  12. Why not drop your multiplier and pump your FSB? Say 11.5*200 or higher. Maybe pushing the multi up .5 or the fsb up 5mhz.
  13. simple, clean, and distracting all at the same time
  14. Right click on the tray icon -> Options -> Show Systray Alerts now that was easy wasn't it?
