  1. Ray, a couple weeks ago my PSU went out and when I changed it out I forgot to plug power into my DVD drive but left the IDE cable from the DVD drive to the motherboard connected and had exactly the same indications as you. As soon as I pluggrd power into the DVD drive the bios finished booting on the first try. Hope this helps.
  2. Copy! It's good to be high on the list!!! And OBTW, same consideration in the USA! Socialism is good!!! Until you have a year to wait!!!
  3. What Angry said. You can take the girl out of the trailer park but...! I think my nugget is going to explode if I have to hear more!
  4. Last weekend I dual primed for 10 hours before I quit with these settings. Above these settings I have to push the voltage quite a bit to get more out of it. I was hopping for 3.0 GHz but even at 1.5v I couldn't get there. I'm pretty happy though it replaces a Venice 3500+ at 2.54 GHz.
  5. I've had one of these optys for about 10 days and it is happy at the settings you see in my sig.
  6. alexv305, welcome to the forum. It sounds to me like you may need to RMA your memory if it can't run rated timings. I had a 3500+ before I got the opty in my sig last weekend and once I got the CPU overclock as high as I could, getting my memory timings as tight as I could made a significant difference in my super pi times
  7. Right now I have mine at 2560 with 1.5v. I was running it at 2640 for a while on 1.6v. It looks like mine is a BP.
  8. Ace, are you recommending two seperate raid 1 arrays or a raid 1+0 array? If the latter, I didn't think my board supported raid 1+0.
  9. Guys, thanks for the response. Daddyjaxx, you make a compelling point however, not losing my data is an important consideration for me. Anyboy else know any gotchas or other things to think about before jumping into this?
  10. Anybody have experience setting up raid 0+1? I'm considering 3 more drives like I have in my sig and looking for comment both positive and negative.
  11. I have that exact memory. The best I could get was 2.5-4-3-7. Anything less and I'd get similar problems to what you're descriding. Here's what I'm running right now at DDR 512. 12. The egg now has these for $288.25 shipped!!!http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227225
  13. I finally got the memory in my sig to do 1:1 at cas 2.5. Givens: Door open to the outside so temp about 65 deg F and the side of my case off. Super PI 32M passed and 3DMark05 passed with a score about 6070. OBTW, at the tightest timings I can test, 2-2-2-5 5/06, DDR 426, Super PI 32M=29:54. Mem timings on a divider available on request. Any comments or observations appreciated. 14. I think I found what you're looking for while reading through OCZTony's sticky at the top of this forum.
  15. I got my VC-RE from here. http://www.jab-tech.com/Evercool-VC-RE-Twi...er-pr-2291.html It arrived very quickly with no issues.
