Ah that's a pretty cool program. Also notice the EVga one has a $20 rebate on Newegg. So should I get the EVga one at $347 with Crysis (and the chance that the 9800s comes out in about 90 days) or the BFG 8800GT OC that's $237 at my local Best Buy (Website say they have it in stock in a store near me)? I know the performance between the 2 has only minimal differences from what I read (and I know most of you guys prefer the GT over the GTS)but I'm a bit worried about the smaller cooler on the GT. Advice would be appreciated.

How does it work? Register the card you bought then if something better comes out in 90 days I contact them? Though now I'm worried that the 8800GTS might block all 4 of my SATA ports on my mobo. Saw the pics in the GT8800 thread and was wondering if the larger fan of the GTS would block the bottom 2 SATA ports also? I only use 2 of them.

It's there any brand that ppl here would recommend or are they all just the same? The one's I looked at on Newegg is all around $359 except for the BFG one which is $329 or the Evga one which is $359 but includes Crysis. Thanks for the help.

Yup, using WinXp. So the only reason I would use the X2 driver would be to use CnQ? What about the AMD Dual Core Optimizer. Would I need to use that?

Looking to upgrade my GPU myself so if presented with either: PNY G92 GeForce 8800GT 512MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814133205 or SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3870 512MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102713 Which one should I get? Basically the same price point.

Just bought a Opteron 185 off Newegg to upgrade and was wondering if I needed to update my Bios or the one I'm using just fine? Also, would the current HS and PSU I'm using be fine or would I need to upgrade? Still undecided on the ATI 3850/70 or 8800GT so need to also take those into account for PSU. Is there anything else I should worry about? I found a few thread about ppl upgrading to the 185 but was just wondering if there is any thread I should know about/read. Thanks for the help.

Thx for the info. Any good links on how to setup Raid?

Total n00b on raid so here's my querstion. What's the advantage of having 2 HITACHI Deskstar 80gb on a Raid 0 setup? What's the differance if I just install them apart? Cause 1 arrived on time and somehow the other one got routed to the wrong city and it's gonna arrive next week so I was wondering should I wait before I setup my rig. Thx for any info Vinn

Great guide. Gonna follow this step by step once I get my parts next week (Hopefully UPS won't route my graphic card to the wrong city again ). -
Was just wondering what bios should I use once I get all my parts in? I saw the post about the VID problem on the beta 7/04 Bios so I'm wondering should I just use the offical 6/23 bios or the 7/02? I know it's been said that there's no "One" bios for everyone but just wanted ppls opinion on what Bios I should use with my OCZ rams. Thx. Vinn

Oh also what if I wanted 2gb of ram instead of 1gb? How does having 4x512mb effect OC'ing? Cause I sorta wanna run BF2 with all the eye candies and I have been reading that BF2 really needs 2gb ram to run it smoothly. Thx for any help. Vinn

Ah thx for the info on the PSU I'm gonna buy. I don't wanna really try water-cooling at this point cause my budget is pretty tight and I really can't afford to fry anything by accident So I'm guessing it's best for me to get a 3000+ Venice and see how far I can OC it? It should work fine for most games like BF2 or other recent FPS? I mostly play WoW, BF2, and Total War: Rome. So I'm guessing I will spend my extra $200 on a new HDD or Monitor. Again thx for your help Vinn

Doesn't the 3000+ OC better then the 3200+? From what I have read so far most ppl seems to be saying that you get more bang for your bucks if your gonna OC with a 3000+ saving about $40 from buying a 3200+? Then is is worth it to maybe spend the extra $200 I have on an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor at $289 in newegg.com instead of the 3000+? Again thx for any help and suggestions Vinn
