  1. Yes, I have tried all of that you guys have mentioned. I've tried the card on the second slot, but still nothing. I've make sure that I plugged in the extra power, and I've cleared my cmos by taking out the battery and set the jumpers to clear, then unplugged my psu. After 4 hours of clearing, everything is still the same. But when I put back my 6800GT, everything is up and going without a hitch. Is there an answer as why this is happening other than the possiblity that my 7800GTX is somehow broken before use?
  2. I recently bought a new 7800GTX to replace my 6800GT, but it didn't work. I have 1 diag. led showing when my 7800gtx is plugged in, and my computer won't even post, or display anything up at all. But when I plugged my 6800GT back into my computer, everything works just fine. I'v plugged in all 5 power sources, cleared my cmos for 4 hours, but my 7800gtx still doesn't seem to allow my computer to boot. Can it be that my new 7800GTX is broken before it is even used? The fan on the card seems to work and everything. I've encounter the 1 dia. led with my 6800GT before, but everything worked again after I've cleared my cmos. Nww, there seems like there is nothing I can do to make my 7800GTX work. Does anyone know anything about this?
  3. Once again, thanks for the attention guys. I think I've confirmed that only my graphics card is fried. I have just bought a new LanParty UT SLI-D from CompUSA, and when I hook everything up, nothing have changed. The same, 3 diag. LED from the upper slot and booting fine on the lower slot but with no image. Is this a 100% confirmation on that only tge graphics card is fried?
  4. Yes, I have noticed that 3 LED may meant that I'm having issues with my RAM. But it seems kinda odd to me how the RAMs could of be damaged through this whole experience. Since it is located above the leak, it has no way of getting wet. And if I placed my graphics card on the lower PCI-E slot, the entire system seems to boot just fine (atleast I guess it's booting up fine, because I'm hearing my HD whirring, all diag. LED are off, and I can turn off my compute after about a minute or so when I've pushed on the power button.) Then again, I don't consider my self as a true computer hardware expert. So maybe my motherboard, my graphics card, and maybe even my RAMs are fried? Oh boy, I do pray that is not the case.
  5. Thanks for your suggestiong there JAXK, I would certainly be more reliefed if someone else can confirm that my graphics card is fried and not the mobo. Does anyone have a similar case where they are also stuck on 3 diag. LED on the first PCI-E slot and reboot fine but with no image on the second PCI-E slot? It would certainly put my mind as ease to pin-point which component is fried, but I don't have any other spare parts to test things out. Thanks again for reading my thread, guys.
  6. Well, I guess there is no hope for my computer anymore. I just took the mobo out for a 24 hours drying and blasted every slots with canned air. Still, nothing have changed when I boot everything up. Right now, I just don't know for the life of me if whether my graphics card is fryed as well.
  7. Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciated it very much. But unfortunately I do not have a spare PCI-E VGA card at this moument. Just a very quick question though, is it possible for any parts of the the computer to be fried but displays no physical damage what so ever? I thought that at the very least the some smoke should come out of the capacitor or there will be dark scorch marks found somewhere along the parts. I've fried some older machines before it all displayed these general characterisitcs. Thank you guys that have taken the time to read my thread.
  8. Thanks for tip Poppy, but I too also tried to clean/dry every slot and holes on my MB before I tried booting up. I guess things are looking pretty grim for me.
  9. Well, you guys are my last hope. I've tried everything that I've read around this forum. This include: a 5 hours CMOS clearing (took out the battery, changed the jumpers and all that), switching my graphics card from the upper slot to the upper slot, and made sure I connected all 5 power connection. But still, I can't get pass 3 diag LED and my monitor isn't getting any signals. I guess I'll tell my tragic story now: I've been using my computer for about 3 months before I decided to upgrade to water-cooling. After finishing my 24 hours leak-test, I hooked everything back up and let it rip. I used my newly water-cooled computer for about 3 days before I accidentally yanked one of the tubes and caused massive leak from my cpu water block. The monitor goes dead; I immediately shut down the PSU. After fixing the leak, I turned on my computer again. The monitor then displayed the splash screen, but to my horror the cpu water block was once again leaking and I had to shut down my psu again. After another 3 hour fix and 24 hours leak-test I tried turning on my computer once again. But this time, the diag. LED only lid up three red lights. And basically it's stuck this way. I've taken every apart my computer to find out if any of the parts are fried. After a very thorough inspection, none of the parts appears to be damaged. I've checked the cpu, gpu, and basically every nook and cranny on the motherboard. I've found nothing. I tried clearing my CMOS but nothing changed. But I discovered that if I put my graphics card on the lower slot, I can boot my computer completely, but still my monitor gets no signals. The only reason I know this is through the diagnostic lights. But when I switched my graphic card to the upper slot again, the diagnostic LED lit up three LED. Sorry about the unusually long length of my thread, but I'm really desperate and flat broke. I very much hope that my problem can somehow be resolved without me spending couple hundreds of dollars. Thanks for ya'll taking time and reading my post. Best of wishes. P.S. I don't if this is important of not, but I never saw nor smelled smoke through out this entire incident.
