Hey I just got a 146 that I'm trying to nail down at 3.0 it does 32m np but fails prime after a couple hours. My temps are hitting 58C, does anyone have a link to the new max temp program, I have an old version and not sure if its reading it correctly.

blow air down towards the cpu. the delta triblades work best for HS application, there's various different speed triblades available

I have one of each on 2 DFI boards, and they perform the same, the xp90 is on a 3000 venice with 1.5v @2.7 and it has a delta triblade on it. It gives me the same temps as my 3700 with 1.45 volts @ 2.7 with a delta triblade. same room same ambient temps...

I would go with a 3700 for double the cache. if you want to save money then get a 3000 or 3200 venice and overclock it. I have a 3000 that does 2.7 most peeps find 2.5 with ease. well I'll tell ya what, if I run benches at stock, then overclock my cpu and ram I get much higher scores. Since I have a 3700 and a 7800gtx in my box, I can say from experience.

3700 should be fine if you overclock it , get your HTT up around 500 or better and 2.5ghz or higher. I think it takes an FX-55 speed chip to start to not bottleneck a 7800gtx

that temp is high, you need an XP90 or betterm also are you running 2.75ghz at those settings? As far as I know half multi just round up, so you'd just be rrunning at 11X250 that way lol

err. the 6600gt is 500/1000 out of the box, its an 8 pipe card though, i just detected optimal frequencies with coolbits and it went to 551/1190, so I run it at 550/1100 till I get better cooling. then we'll be doing 575/1200. I'm telling you guys EVGA ROX !
