thnx for the advice... its only a temporary solution... wanna see how 2GB of ram helps... i totally forget that i set the TCCDs to CL2.5 cuz they were OCed and ill have to set it up to use 2T... thnx for the help

Ive got 4x512 sticks of GeIL ONE memory... 2 sets of dual channel... one is TCCD the other BH5... i want to run em at stock speeds cuz i just wanna test BF2 performance using 2gb of ram... the problem is that when i put in 4 sticks at once i get a long beep .... help?

ok, i set everything to automatic in the bios and it seemed to have installed windows ok.. im installing drivers now and so on... how can i check the ram for problems other than memtest?

thats odd though... cuz it worked PERFECTLY fine before when the board was brand new with the same settings, i clocked everything back to stock... ill give a shot with one stick of ram which i already tried... btw, i use just SATA... and ive tried 3 copies of windows... gonna try and install XP over 98 SE now...

ok, ive had this problem on two DFI Ultra-D boards... i RMA'd one and got another, everything installed great right away, then my 250GB HD died, so that got replaced and i was using an 80GB until i got it back yesterday... i installed the SATA II drive and tried to install windows, it seems to install fine until i started getting BSODs upon installing drivers and software... so i formatted again, now windows wouldnt even install... then later i couldnt even format without getting a BSOD... my memory passed memtest 5 times with 0 errors... has anyone had this kind of problem before? Its happening on two DFI NF4 Ultra-Ds for me... what could be the cause of this?!?!?!

is there a special email i should use or should i just mail the tech support?

ummm no... the 512s cores are made in a different process and the memory is faster....

wrong thread buddy.... This is a good question, im about to get an SATA-II drive and it wouldnt be cool if it didnt work!!

of course i "didnt" theres no way they would know that.... im just worried about the thing on the back of the board

Ok, i had a WC setup on my Ultra-D mobo and i had to stick an insulator on the back of the CPU socket under the board.. now my board is messed up and i wanted to ask if that thing on the back voids the DFI warranty cuz i cant get it off!! there is no physical damage on the board, something with the IDE ports is up... i cant format/install/run programs on any HD... if anyone could give me any info that would be great!

anyone else?
