  1. 220Mhz @ 2-3-6-3 on my expert 225Mhz @ 2.5-3-6-3 wont go any higher mo matter what other timing i used
  2. you basically have the same system i do. try running the 702-3 beta bios. seems more stable then then 623. other then that im currently running all 4x512 ballistix @ 2.5-3-6-3 @ 250 1:1 with my 3500+
  3. really having major issues here. i cannot lower my cpu multiplier ever since the system crashed. tried flashing, formating, tried running 2 dimms instead of 4, tried running the system with bare minimal addons and still no go. when i tried the system crashes and i need to clear cmos. dont whats going on [cry]
  4. i dont think C&C is the problem now since RMClock wont work with any multiplier under 11. 10x200 set to minimal will result in lockup as well. i am unsure if it is CPU fault or mainboard.
  5. though i read through the thread it gave me no help but thanks for trying soundx98. i believe something is wrong. i cannot set my cpu to a lower multiplier anymore. 11x200 (default for my 3500+ venice) will work however 10.5x and lower will freeze cpu and then i have to reset cmos. i can raise the HTT value only. i just reflashed my board and it hasnt fixed anything. my cpu "cannot" use C&C or RMclock because of this. either my board or cpu is fubar. any other suggestion?
  6. i do and its connected however i would prefer to use the C&C. i mean 1Ghz idle at 15-17degrees is pretty good compare to 2.2Ghz idle @ 25degrees.
  7. A64 3500+ venice + thermaltake Volcano12 DFI NF4 Ultra-d 4x512 Crucial Ballistix 2-2-5-2 X800XL 200gb seagate SATA 40gb seagate EIDE 480w Antec truepower v2 As the title says. it use to work now it doesnt. i tried using RMclock and it freezes as well. 1Mhz o/c above 200 will result in non booting and requires clearing cmos. any ideas? cpu has only been overclocked twice to 2500Mhz @ 1.35v for a period under 20 minutes all up for benching. other then that i have been running it 12-16hours a day at default settings while the system is idle and cool and quiet enable but today for some reason it locked up and i cant get it working again. cpu will run @ default without problems but not above or under the 2.2Ghz speed. cpu will not even boot at 10x200 but will boot at 11x200 (default).
  8. i like my coolermaster stacker case. though it supports 3x120mm fans at the front i doubt u would need it unless you have alot of HDD and only 2 optical drive. 1x120mm fan at the rear with the option of having another 2x80mm or 1 extra pSU and 1x80mm at the top. very silent IMO. great case and easy to mod for w/c setup
  9. that is correct about the m/b auido hits the rear fan. just just alittle bit of the rear fan and it will fit. had to do it to mine
  10. the truepower v2.0 550w or even 480w will be more then enough. unless your running dual cpu then the second one is worthless. truecontrol if you want to control your rails but antec have strong rails so there shouldnt really be the need for true control. also look at enermax as their PSU are good as well
  11. you must be talking about the Chipset. if it is then replace it with something better.
  12. change the "CPC - command per clock" to disable. load default setting. fill all 4 dimms then boot up. if it boots into windows fine then you can return to bios and mess around with the memory setting. just not the CPC.
  13. most likey its your ram, alot of people have problems with corsair memory with DFI boards. search around the thread and see. i am able to run 1T with 2 dimms and 2T with 4 dimms on my 3500+
  14. other numbers dont really matter awhole lot. im happy you got those timings and o/c. so far i just run mine @ 250fsb @ 2.5-3-8-3 with my crucial ballistix PC4000 and dont really plan to oc it higher. if i want more Mhz i could always ise the 10.5/11 multiplier.
  15. never believe those programs, hey i dont even believe reading temps/voltage in bios is accurate. use a voltmeter to see. but anyways i have a 480w v2 PSU and my rails are spot on 3.3v/5.05v/12.08 but again thats using a program
