  1. Well, looks like I will in fact be waiting for my graphics card. Sold my friend my x850xt to put towards the purchase of a x1950 series card. Was going to go with the pro or x1950xt but was thinking of holding off until the prices dropped because of the DX10 cards or even just save, wait and get a DX10 card. According to the reviews the gains from x850xt to x1950 pro should be alot, with the x850xt I could run BF2 in 1280x1024 w/ 2x AA, and 16X AF with everything on high. With the x1950 I was hoping to maybe bump to 1600x1200 or at least be able to get 1920x1080 for my HDTV with 2x x1950 in crossfire. Are your gains really that minimal??
  2. 2835mhz seems to be the limit im hitting but only because of my motherboard, it won't go higher than 315mhz bus and with a 9x multiplier thats the best I can get, won't turn on @ 318-320mhz even with a lower multiplier so I know its my board.
  3. I just got my Opteron 165 from newegg, as well as a DFI Infinity RS482 motherboard. Wasn't really sure what to expect with these two, but I had a real good feeling about the board when I first looked all setup in my case. After a few days I decided to slowly push it and eventually settled at a 2835mhz. For this processor thats 9x315 and the voltage is 1.4v. I'm pretty impressed with the benchmarks!
  4. Hello, I just got a new WD Raptor drive thats 36GB. I sent my old one in for warranty after the plastic peice that holds the SATA cable snapped off, got a brand new one in return! I also have an 80GB seagate harddrive, 7200RPM, SATA, that I just got a month ago. What my question is, which harddrive would be best to have the O/S installed on it? It seems having programs on the Raptor drive would allow games ect to load faster while having the OS on the seagate. But then it also seems like having the OS on the raptor so it runs and boots faster would be a good idea but I just can't figure out which would be better, so I'm turning this over to the experts! How can I set these 2 harddrives up for the best setup? Thanks a bunch!
  5. I'm pretty sure your using the EXACT same OCZ RAM I am! And guess what we have the same problems! I can run it in dual channel but ONLY if I set the RAM in bios to 133mhz. ANYTHING over that it will not boot. Also, my timings are HORRIBLE I believe they are 8-4-4-4. Horrible. OCZ Claims that the RAM has no known issues with this board but I think thats crap, because I see thread after thread with people trying to get their OCZ RAM to work but can't even at STOCK timings. OCZ gave me an RMA number and said they would send a pretested pair out to me that is known to work with my DFI mobo, but I didn't bother because to me this RAM is horrible and I don't think a new pair would do ANYTHING.
  6. I must admit the first thing I thought was that the site was hacked, and then there was a part of me that was dying inside along with the site because it believed it. Then I said all of a sudden, OMG ITS APRIL 1st! AMAZING!
  7. Sorry, I should mention I'm not looking for trades, as I just bought a new system. Thanks though.
  8. Its perfectly safe and normal for the SATA power cable to be directly connected to the SATA harddrive. The adapters are there for people with no SATA power cable on their power supply. Make sure you have a regular molex connector going to the board, just like in the pictures above. You must have all 4 power connections going to the board.
  9. Also, I'm located in New Hampshire, and anyone can contact me regarding these parts through PM, Email, or PM me and I will supply you with my phone number. Thanks again!
  10. AXMH2500FQQ4C and underneath that its IQXFA0348XPMW Is that the OPN? Not too sure, but I think so! Thanks for the replies.
  11. Hi, I just recently upgraded 2 of my computers at my home, and one a little bit more than I thought I would. I didn't want to upgrade to a PCI-Express board quite yet but I ended up not being able to resist and did a complete overhaul of my system! Now I have a few parts ready for a new home! All parts are in perfect working condition, never been abused and always kept dust free. Feel free to ask any questions, or email me at [email protected]. Gigabyte Radeon X800XT w/VIVO AGP - Bought this card about a year ago for 450.00 prices dropped alot since then, but this is a VIVO version, and AGP! Never overclocked. Asking 150.00 shipped. DFI NForce II Ultra Infinity - SOLD! AMD ATHLON XP 2500+ Mobile - SOLD! Asus A7N8X Motherboard - SOLD! CoolerMaster all copper heatsink and fan. - SOLD! Belkin High Density monitor extension cable, new in box! Bought this a while ago, never used it and can't return it. Asking 10.00 shipped. Brand New Maxtor Diamond Max 10 ATA133 80GB HDD - Bought this a few months ago, was going to use it for storage but used a larger HDD from a dell instead. Never been formatted or used. Asking 50.00 shipped.
  12. It was OCZ's technical support, I sent them basically what I posted here a few days ago. Can't run the RAM unless its @ very relaxed timings, and 133mhz or less. [email protected] was the email address, and he immediatly replied with an email saying he was sending an RMA# and to send my information to him. He also said they would pre-test the pair in a DFI motherboard for me.
  13. If your laughing at me because you think I bought that PSU because of its "pretty color" get off the ground and read my post again, I merely stated that the REVIEW I read said it LOOKED NICE. With its black chrome mirrored finish. I never said anything about judging how GOOD it was or how WELL it performed because of its looks.... I'm not THAT retarded. Seriously.
  14. I have the same issue my OCZ RAM should run 200mhz, but only and I mean ONLY will go to windows @ 133mhz with relaxed timings! I'm getting a new PSU and sending my RAM back to OCZ.
