    3Dmark Scores?

    BFG 7900 gt voltmodded 3DMark06 - 5800 3DMark05 - 1100
  3. This card is amazing compared to my 6600gt sli i had, no comparison. I havent done to much overclocking before, but i've increased the core and memory frequency up to 560/800 in coolbits. I just ran 3DMark05 and got a 9584 this time. I've been reading lots about people volt modding there 7900's really easy.. to 1.4/1.5 volts. I'm tempted to do this, i need to find a better fan than the stock one though. check these links out: http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3437 & http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showth...?t=92874&page=7 another good link for overclock scores: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=91957
  4. Okay i got my bfg 7900gt today... small problem though.. coolbits is showing my default core clock speed of 475 mhz, and memory clock frequency of 680 MHZ. shouldnt the memory be higher? (people are saying there getting in the 1600's) .. i just ran 3DMark05 and got a 8403 .. i cant play with this to much for a few days but i think something is wrong here --edit-- when i detect optimal frequencies, its showing 540/800mhz
  5. I'm deciding which to buy also.... If i'm not going to be overclocking the second one with tighter timming is the better choice, is this correct? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227066 # Cas Latency: 3 Heat Spreader: Gold XTC Manufacturer Warranty: Lifetime Timing: 3-4-3-8 Voltage: 2.75V # Model #: OCZ5002048ELGEGXT-K # Item #: N82E16820227066 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227063 # Cas Latency: 2 Heat Spreader: Gold XTC Manufacturer Warranty: Lifetime Timing: 2-3-3-8 Voltage: 2.8V # Model #: OCZ4002048ELGEGXT-K # Item #: N82E16820227063
  6. I would definitely like to crank everything up.. hehe. thx for the reply's. I'm going to go with evga 7900gt, i hear there good, just need to wait till the egg gets them instock :/
  7. Do you guys think this is worth the upgrade from my sli 6600gt cards to just a 7900gt? I'm pretty satisfied with what i have... but i wondering if its worth it for the performance jump. i play bf2, halo, oblivion (1280 x 1024)
  8. Heres 1 for $285 with free 2day shipping and quake 4 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=322739

  10. The same reason people have more than 1 pair of shoes.. you might not need more than 1, but you have them. some people have multiple lan connections, multiple internet connections, 1 lan connection & 1 internet connection, etc..
  11. There is.. but its not recommended to flash through windows. Download the bootable cd image or make a bootable floppy
  12. I went with the Gskill because of the price...cant play with it yet though till after xmas break
  13. wow it just dropped to $199 now... ahh yeaa time to upgrade
  14. I've went from a Pioneer a04 --> dru 510a ---> NEC3540 --> dru810a (always used Ritek disks). I use my burners alot, and I've never had any problems with the sony's, so i have to recommend the Sony dru810a
  15. i got another 6600gt handed to me for free that is a different brand than what i have (Gigabyte, and i have a leadtech). I'm trying to figure out if this will work together before i wasted my time stripping my pc apart. Anyone know for sure?
