  1. I have tried those ram settings I think were both stupid and it can be some other ram settings. Alot of people on the Geil forums were saying something about GAT or PAT settings which those can cause errors with the ram, but I can't seem to find a GAT/PAT settings on this mobo. Btw I have tried some PNY PC3500 off my bros AMD rig and I got it maxed out with 2.5-5-5-6 at a supa 275fsb with 2.9volts. I did pay about 500$ for those sticks when it came out and just 182$ for these so called Geil PC4000 pos ram. What now boss $hitcann the Geil stuff and invest in some new ram? Or keep on fighting with this ram? I kinda know for a fact it's the GAT/PAT settings cause everyone on the net has been talkin about the issue with the Plat Geil PC4000 causing tons of no post, no windows boot, and stop errors on days there talkin about uppin the volts and 75% of them using Socket 478 mobos with the ram volts being maxed at 2.85 or 2.9volts. Atleast were luckiny we can crank it up to like 3.5v or something I got mine at 3.1v and still a no go. Thanks for the Help and posts good thing I have this pos barton 2500+ at 3800+ to work and get help with. Also my A+ Cert knowledge. ALL'S I gotta say is close this topic down cause my ram has a 265mhz wall and even at that it will work fine, but cause errors I smell an RMA coming about. Well guys Thanks again for the help I be back to post a real topic on a real overclock with no pos memory.
  2. Well how can I put this guys I think I may have some corrupt ram??? I am gettin stopp errors after a clean installl which worked this time and now it has stop errors after I hit ctrl alt del in Windows 2003 Server. http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=271955&sd=RMVP Kinda know what the problem is my ram is maxed out at 260mhz~ and I am trying to do 267mhz-270mhz. Which causing most my problems I amd gonna check this out 2morrow and try to find some people with the same type of ram I have.
  3. I am starting to get this bs problem also, I think the battery juice needs to be cranked up?
  4. Yea I downloaded and ran two different vlients on each thread CPU0 and CPU1. The second one always closes out or crashes. And second I tried memtest86 at 250mhz with 2.8volts on ram and I get 2058 errors on tests 5, 6,7,8. Then I did 260mhz got only 3096 error. Then I did the 3:2 ratio with 250mhz and 270mhz they pass test 5,6, but not test 7,8. I tried a Legit XP Home SP1/PRO SP2, errors, non-legit Windows MCE, Windows Longhorn, and a legit Windows XP Pro SP2. The non legit cds all work fine on my other machine i have working on they all have no bootleg cd-keys except for the Longhorn.
  5. I have done that about 500 times in the past 5 weeks. When it's installing it says there files missing on the cd and when I do get it to work inside windows I get tons of crc errors and BSODs when i try using HT. I know what this cpu can do I think something else is messing it up assumeing it's my memory maybe did the memtest test thingy and I got more than 4000 errors in tests 5,6,7,8. I didn't care for the erros and I think I know where all them POS BSOD's are coming from. They always say IRQ error driver less then.... Tips? ATM it's at 3:2 ratio 270fsb with 3.1volts on the RAM and 1.62volts on the cpu and 1.8v on agp. All air cooled, also got a big house fan blowing at high in front of my TT Typhoon. Btw can it just be IT"S sitting on the dfi lanparty mobo box? I never ever thought till now that the back of the mobo could be damn hot where the NB and the other important stuff are getting hot. Atleast there some of you that are alive kickin and overclockin it up
  6. Thanks for the reply thought this forum was full of dead users. Yea I am workin out some minor bugs in Windows 2003 Server EE. Can't wait to see if I overvolt'it the cpu so I can bump the clock up or try the 3:2 ratio. Btw in cpu-z it shows I can do more crappy ram timings, all I can see in the bios is for cas 2,2.5,3. then just 4,4. and the last one is fully adjustable. I am finding some pretty cool hardware fudge-ups that i can force the turbo and fast mode on the norm timings, yea it beeps and doesn't post, but when I hit the reset button it turns off then turns back on go in bios settings I get the settings that didn't work before which work after it turned off? I found out my HT was pretty messed up when I started folding @ home one fake core thingy turned off ( as in when you see it in the taskman) then it some how turns back on when i turn on f@h2 client while the f@h1 client is still going.
  7. Well after 4 weeks of fixing and overclocking. and little help I got my computer running at 4ghz on air. but without any HT. I want to know if HT turn off will slow my computer down any more? Well first screenshot more to come on air. :shake: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=28721
  8. Sorry for late reply still without my Supa God Intel Rig. The Stuff on the top of the cpu has been LAPPED. Yup i got borad at watching and hitting F8 a million times so i lapped it. On the box it says P4 530J 3ghz, 1mb Cache, 800mhz FSB. Stepping China SL7PU, Pack date 2/24/05. LoL 1.4v max volts? got mine up to 1.62 cause it flip flops from 1.58v to 1.48v. Turned off all the lame speedstep slow your cpu down thingy. And done all the bios settings like most users have. BTW why the netgear network card cause I get a more higher download and input speed than the lmae onborad one.
  9. it's is fixed but without any HT. I am stable at 4ghz with a fsb of 1071mhz I am tryin to get some screenshots as soon it's done burning in. Is it any slower if I turn off the HT?
  10. Feeling so happy to post this, well to start things off the NB temp showing 25C is BS and second I have found out the real temps and fix with MBM5. O lmao the 25C thingy does work but it doesn't show the values till you make a new temp setting in MBM5 and put the diode setting to 3 and you would see a good 58C non load and a 60-63C on load. Which those are the temps on the nb, I did a few tests with no active cooling and active cooling and the diode settings is correct in MBM5 showing the NB temps instead of the 25C bug. Thrid how the fudge i get to 4ghz?? I know 3.9ghz is enough for my 530J, and i thing my mobo doesn't like any memory settings of 262mhz or higher. Cause I know this frickin cpu and memory can do higher. The max where Windows 2003 Server loads to is 4.2ghz on air then it crashes to desktop and gets a BSOD then restarts. O man the temp diode on this mobo is so gay it jumps around like a monkey, but on load my temps are stuck on 50C and non load 50C??? The temp sometimes jumps to 60C on load and then climbs like a mofo till it crashes my computer or causes tons of CRC errors. I found out the CRC lame error it's cause one of the HT thingys needs more volts so i cranked it up and bang no errors. IRQ errors video card showing up as a usb controller tons of them causing more errors. Many more gripes like the ones most users of this mobo are having. Voltage and temps seems to jump and raise like crazy sometimes making the HT's unstable causing CRC errors and sometimes causing it restart. Fans and lights continue to spin 5 mins after the mobo turned off. O LoL the temps on my mobo are super funny my load and idle seem to normal before on the stock cooler it went from 40C-75C. Too much info in one day not enough for you guys to help I am gonna go home and take some screen shots. Man this mobo rocks o come on fix the frickin bios DFI I know for a fact the bios is fubar cause the dude who got 6ghx on air or whatever had a modded bios. New Specs P4 530J China @ 262x15 New Cooler Semi good TT Big Typhoon Loadish 50C idle 50C-45C Geil PC4000? running at 520mhz can do 533 Noisetaker 600WATT PSU GF6800GT at 420/1230 USB and USB Mouse fudgin stuff up Below this I want to get working or try to make it work withour IRQ errors or CRC errors when extracting or installing files Creative Sound Blaster Live Gamer fudgin stuff also NetGear GA311 network card fudgin up stuff IF NOT 3.9ghz seems like a good speed, it jumps like crazy when at 4ghz now load times on windows and everything just buzzs on by. Volts are good cpu can run stock volts at 3.8ghz but i have it at 1.58v cause my 1.58v is really 1.55volts. Memory volts at 2.85v, agp at 1.8volts. All my volt lines are very stable except when putting the cpu on load. Need Help after I post some Pics..
  11. Ok thanks for the help, and btw my IRQs for the video card and sound cards all make them look like there USB controllers. And dunno, but when i go though and sort the cpu0 and cpu1 while extracting files seems to kill the so called CRC errors whil installing or decompressing a file.
