  1. Thanks, I'll give it another shot on Monday at work (as thats where all of my files are).
  2. Actually, it did, both the examples you two made lol. I think anyone could spot Limburger though... that stuff reeks. I read that you work for DFI, I just needed that clarification.
  3. I am unable to find these two files; I pulled down the 5.10 unified drivers. Nvsataconnection.exe Nvsataconnectionenu.dll Any ideas?
  4. Good stuff. I'll be picking one up at the end of the month then, I think. I'm working on making a slipstreamed XP cd now.
  5. I'd hope my CPU is worth more than just a 20mhz o/c. Stock is 2400.
  6. lol, this is true. I'm not looking to break records, I'm just looking to make a nice, solid overclock. My experiences have been: P3 450 @ 504 P3 600E @ 748 (This CPU actually has a 1ghz core, I could never get memory to take it that high) Athlon T-Bird 1.2 @ 1.3 ?(I think?) A64 3400+ Newc @ 2420 (I think my board is the limiting factor here, especially now that I changed memory.)
  7. How easy is it to get it setup at first? I read a review that at stock settings, the board was slower than other NF3 boards. :S I mean, after I get everything all tidied up, I can then start cranking on it.
  8. I updated my BIOS to the latest official revision (1006), and after it scared the bejesus outta me by freezing every time I attempted to readjust my settings, I started poking around. Low and behold, Asus took away my ability to tweak my memory timings. These are now automaticly set for me. 200mhz = 2-2-2-6, and 220 = 2.5-3-3-7. Screw this folks, I'm going DFI.
  9. Holy Moses... That mess makes mine look like a show piece... (I was still bleeding the loop when I took these, so that's why the water is a nice foamy pink.) I would definately contact your builder about that. That there has to kill your airflow...
  10. I have them in parallel. I forgot to mention that I'm running 1/2" tubing, and the flow rate with a single DDC was not high enough for my loop. I had a D4, and the buzz was driving me crazy, hence the pair of DDC's. I'm running a dual heatercore, so I have that end taken care of also. At the same time, I don't feel these pumps get particularly hot. The D4 would get hot to the touch, and these are bearly warm. Other than making Y adapters for the dual inlets and outlets, I think it's pretty simple, lol. Also, is there a particular reason why you would choose the RBX over the TDX? I own the silver TDX and have had no problems, and sold my copper RBX to a friend.
  11. I run a pair of DDC's, on 1/2" tubing using adapters. That comes straight from a recomendation of Danger Den's block designer. If two pumps aren't for you, I'd go with a D5. Almost $300 later, I learned that lesson...
  12. I don't mind work and learning new products since I'm a tech support person, thats my job and by learning a new motherboard it could only help me. I think my goal is a stronger overclock than what I have now, and stable 2-2-2-5 timings. I'm not shooting for 3ghz or anything, but 2.6ghz looks nice to me.
  13. I'd run the the Maze 4 + Ramsinks combo personally. I think that adding the ram to the loop will add too much heat, unless you have your GPU's on a loop seperate from your CPU. As for tubing preferences... I really feel it's just a preference. I run 1/2" inner diameter, my friend runs 3/8" inner diameter. He gets better temps than I do, but I feel that is due to the restricted airflow my case has. I'll be buying a new case shortly. Angry has essentially the setup I'm going to, other than he's sporting SLI and I just have a single X800XT. I think I might be using a larger radiator than he is, also. Speaking of radiators... As for 1a... If you want to 'tune' your loop, get the nozzles. The 'stock' number 5 (I think) nozzle works wonderful, however. Most people don't go below a number 3 anyway. For the Black Ice Xtreme series rad's... you need fairly high flowing fans to get good cooling out of them. If you were going for a quieter computer, you'd be better off with the Pro series. You'd also save a couple bucks, since the Pro's are cheaper. I'm not a fan of Fluid XP either. Remember, water has nature's best heat transfer rate...
  14. 85 degrees Celcius is ridiculously hot my friend. Be it air, water, phase-changing, or vegetable oil, I don't like seeing temps over 40c, 50c being where I shut down and go do something else. In all honesty, I would look for a better cooling solution for your machine, Muttley. At the least, take the side of your case off and set a box fan blowing into it.
  15. First, thank you both for the replies. I have an Antec True 550 that I sleaved myself (never again). It's not a bad PSU, but I still think I want to change that out eventually. I don't know if I'm too keen on the idea of running more than what an 'official' bios will put through my memory. I've always been a fan of drag racing, but I need a daily driver, catch my drift? Is BH-5 capable of running a mild to moderate overclock at 2-2-2-5 with 3.1v or less? You said NF3 as opposed to mentioning DFI specificly... My friend ended up with an Asus K8N he bought from me (long story), and posted a phenominal overclock with a Semporn... However as far as I can see, the Asus based board can't put up the memory voltage that the DFI board can.
