  1. exroadie...i was just curious...you have one of your machines modded to sataII...is it just the sli-dr that has sataII? im wantin to get the ultra-d...being a new board will it be possible to mod to sataII?
  2. just wondering im gettin the dfi ultra-d mobo soon, and im not gonna overclock like crazy or anything. just knowing i have the option is good for me. but im in a debate for what memory to get...and i am on a budget. i cant decide to get either the G.SKILL 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) F1-3200PHU2-1GBZX (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231012) or the G.SKILL 512MB (2 x 256MB) DDR 550 (PC 4400) Unbuffered Samsung TCCD F1-3200DSU2-512LE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231005) i know having only 512 mb might limit me, i know it can oc better than the 1gb kit. i dont play any of the fancy fps games or anything...im mainly a racing gamer. thanks
  3. the g.skill i was looking at is $132.50 @ newegg...i didnt want to get any 'value' ram if i could stay away from it...ive read g.skill is great oc'ing ram when you want it to. newegg also has this G.SKILL 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory Model F1-3200PHU2-1GBZX - Retail (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231012) for only $101.50..but by one of the reviews listed it doesnt work with the dfi. and tons of people here have the LE ram...its just that the 2x512 LE is $278.99 and i cant afford that now.
  4. cheapest san diego is $339 lol...i really dont have that much to spend on the system right now...i just want something to replace this 2500xp setup lol...i dont need all that speed...i just play racing games at best.
  5. sorry bout that...what about the computer specs...any input on that? i also forgot to mention what kind of cooling...is the stock retail cooling fine enough or should i get something else...been reading that the xp-90 is pretty good..is it worth it for just a lil oc'ing? or does it actually keep the temps cooler? thanks again donnie
  6. hi i was just wondering about the DFI NF4 Ultra-D @ Newegg and a few other places...ive been researching for awhile now and i want to get this board, but ive recently noticed everyone has switched to the OEM version so theres nothing included but the board and its the same price. Is there any problems with the boards or something new coming out? and what is the differences between the Ultra-D and the nf4-DAGF i've seen. i put my wishlist (my newegg cart) in the signature for my next build. only thing ive really bought for it was the vid card cuz i got a very good deal on it. im not looking to o/c like crazy but just to play around with. and not to incredibly expensive..memory im debating either 2x256 or 2x512 and want to keep it under $175... any further insight and help would be greatly appreciated! thanks Donnie
