  1. Well I got it working finally. I guess I was installing and uninstalling without doing them in a correct order. Probably had a lot of drivers conflicting with eachother. So installing Windows XP SP2 shouldn't affect the 5.8 Catalyst and 5.10 NVidia drivers should they?
  2. Whenever I type "dxdiag" in the command prompt, the Display tab always tells me that the AGP Texture Acceleration is not available. In addition SMARTGART says that AGP is turned off. I have been trolling through the forums and on other sites to find the solution. Here is what I have done so far: 1) Made sure 8x was enabled in the bios 2) Uninstalled ATI catalyst drivers. 3) Ran Driver Cleaner 4) Reinstalled NVidia Chipset Drivers 5) Uninstalled SP2 6) Reinstalled Directx 9.0c 7) Disabled Fast Write 8) Turned on AGP in SMARTGART, restarted but it's back to being "off" I've tried a handful of suggestions, but I'm just hoping that someone out there has had this happened to them before. Seems like this is a frequent occurence. Thanks in advanced!
  3. Well I swapped out the power supply, ran a 12 hour Prime95 test and received no restarts or errors. I guess buying the cadillac of power supplies isn't always what its cracked up to be. I would've never thought to point fingers at my Antec True550. Thanks for everyone's help! :spam:
  4. I took a look at my PSU. Took out any necessary stands from the back and unplugged/plugged all of my cables to any device. Lowered myself down to 1.5V on my 2600 and set the ram to 2-3-3-6. After noticing the +5V Rail initially idling at 4.68 before checking all the cables, I tried using another PSU. The Rails were all withing 5% according to Hardware Doctor and I could safely log into Windows and I read somewhere to disable "Indexing Service" so I did that too(is that going to affect me). So I'm wondering if the culprit is the low +5V rail. I read somewhere in the forums that you really can't trust Hardware Doctor to tell you the true values, and NForce2 tends to have a problem reporting the +5 correctly. Could devices running in the PC cause a +5V rail to drop low enough causing the system to restart?
  5. Well this is my first post on DFI-street. I've been trolling the site for a few weeks before I finally decided to post. From my setup of my signature, I have not overclocked my computer at all. I took a look at Angry's Bios screens and have adjusted my Bios accordingly. Basically what happens is when I start Windows XP undates, burn a CD, or even just sitting idle, the computer will restart without a BSOD. The harddrive clicks off like the computer has been restarted. Under the System Events, there is no log of an Error or Warning. For the life of me I cannot seem to keep the system stable. I have tried different types of RAM, and separately I have tried another harddrive, both yielding the same problem. The BIOS has been flashed to 6/19 with a clean installation of XP on the harddrive. This is the second Ultra B board I've received after receiving the infamous 4 LED's of death board. After installing XP I felt so close to getting my computer to run without issues, but having it restart so much caused my registry to corrupt resulting in the install of XP If there is any info I left out, let me know cause I'm new here. ::flame-guard on::
