  1. i have been able to get 280x10 1:1 - my tcc5 just need 2.9vdimm to make my memory controller happy in windows... the testing continues but i dream/hope for 300x10 1:1
  2. so far i have the chip @ 2.8ghz 280x10 ram on the 9/10 divider for 255mhz - i ran dual prime last night for 7h35mins with no errors - the vcore is a little high at 1.616~1.636 but my cpu temps during dual prime settled in at 41~42c so i am not too worried. here is the detailed bios settings i am using so far - i am still tweaking and burning so hopefully i will get a little more out of this chip System 3800+ X2 CHBHE 0527 UPBW water cooled swiftec storm HTT-280==2.8ghz @ 1.63v DFI NF4 SLI-DR 704-2BT BFG 6800GT PCI-E x2 2x512 OCZ-4200 Platinum TCC5 w/183 divider 2x 200gig Seagate 7200.7 SATA 510w PCP&C SLI / Antec 480 for all pumps/fans Win XP Pro SP2 VID= 1.525 VID SPECIAL= +110% CHIPSET= 1.7 LDT= 1.5 VDDR=2.7 LDT= 3x CPC = 1T CAS Latency(CL) = 2.5 RAS to CAS(Trcd) = 4 Min RAS# Active time(Tras) = 7 Row Precharge Time(Trp) = 3 Row Cycle Time(Trc) = 7 Row Refresh Cycle Time(Trfc) = 14 Row to Row Delay(Trrd) = 2 Write Recovery Time(Twr) = 2 Write to Read Delay(Twtr) = 2 Read to Write Delay(Trwt) = 2 Refresh Period (Tref) = 200 MHz 3.9us (3072) Write CAS Latency(Twcl) = 1clk DRAM Bank Interleave = enabled Skew = auto Skew Value = 0 DRAM Drive Strength = 7 DRAM Data Drive Strength = 2 Max Async Latency = 9ns DDRAM Response Time= normal Read Preamble Time = 6.5ns Idle Cycle Limit = 256clks Dynamic Counter = disabled R/W Queue Bypass = 16x Bypass Max = 7x 32 byte Granularity = disabled (4 bursts)
  3. i have my vcore set to 1.5 + 104% in the bios - in winxp it shows up as 1.504 and in sandra core 1 has 1.50 and core 2 has 1.46 very interesting x2 3800 Manchester E4 my stepping is: cdbhe 0527 UPBW
  4. still cant get the second stick of ram working....only boots with 1 stick now.....sheesh - i should have just left well enough alone and not cold booted today.....i really was hoping i had beating this cold boot issue but - apparently not...
  5. well guys i regret to inform everyone that the cold boot issue is STILL there.......everything can be fine in windows xp - everything stable etc but if i power down - all the way off...it will not boot without jumping through all of the hoops.... GRRRRRRRRRR is it too much to ask to be able to turn your computer off and assume it will turn back on?

  7. to go a little further on what smoken joe said - your psu is extremely important and before you buy any psu you need to research the amps associated with each rail ie) 12v / 5v / 3.3v for amd systems you want your 12v to be as high as possible - i would expect your antec 430 to be somewhere around 20-24amps........not good enough........aim for 30amps on the 12v line - but the more the better.
  8. make a signature so we can see what hardware you have.......then we might be able to suggest a specific bios
  9. this was sent to me from a forum member on xtremesystems (Hardcoreclocker): that might be of some use to certain members...
  10. yes i am fairly sure it is a bios/bios chip issue and if you flash using the switches that should clear it completely and force the new bios...
  11. also when you power down - flip the switch on you psu......and press the power button on your case to fully discharge any left over current.....when you are ready to boot up flip the psu switch back on and power up and see if that helps at all...(grasping at straws)
  12. have you tried re-seating the cpu?? if that first red led doesnt go out then it hasnt detected the cpu properly...just a suggestion
  13. the bios' for the ultra d and sli-dr are all the same.....
  14. let me know if that makes a difference for you......how many led's are lit up in the bottom corner of the motherboard while trying to post?
