  1. My BAD!!!.....I didn't look far enough into this manual to see the pin orientation.....Please don't spank me too hard ANGRY_GAMES!! LOL
  2. Been here already and this manual just shows me the location for the USB header....not the correct pin orientation....Thanks though!
  3. Hi all, not sure this goes in here but here it goes - I currently switched my lanparty board into another case and thought that I had my original book within reach and realize that I can't find it ANYWHERE! I have looked on DFI's main site but their book is basic at best. I need to know the correct pin location for the front mounted USB ports for this new case.I know where the USB header is on the board but don't know the correct pin installation - IE. +/- ground etc.. so I need some help. P.S. I also dont have any sound from my main sound port on the karajan module after re-installation (everything else is fine).Any ideas? If i choose to remove the audio jack then do I have to go with a PCI audio card? Thanks!
  4. I'm currently using the Realtek and I don't seem to have any probs as of yet.Play Call of Duty/FarCry/UT 2004/Links 2003.....the list goes on and on.
  5. hehe....thanks for the replies all, but none of you have yet to satisfy my Q.(except ExRoadie in a way) I guess maybe I should just ask : Do I need to have 2 connectors from the power supply plugged into those 2 sockets? I guess there should be more specific Literature that comes with MOBO explaining these two "extra" connectors/plugs/sockets......whatever.
  6. So are these supposed to power up other devices? Or are they there to be powered up like for extra PCI-E cards when running multiple PCI-E cards? Im just as confused as you and being a NOOB makes it that much more!
  7. There are 2 connectors on the NF4-D, 1 is a FDD and the other is an HDD. Are these merely to power up other devices? Or do these need to have power supplied to them?I remember reading something briefly on this but can't seem to find it on the forum.
  8. Well I went back and reset all settings per RGone's sticky for getting board running just to see and Chipset temps went to 112f as did PWMIC,CPU stayed around 85f. I guess maybe I'll use my laser temp tool to read actual temp and go from there.Programs all seem to run fine and even OC'ed a bit without any issues(nothing drastic) so I dunno.
  9. Thats what im thinking and I dont have anything OC'ed.......I updated the BIOS and just let the settings DEFAULT.BIOS is showing a 40c reading which is about 103f. Any ideas?
  10. Read Rgone's sticky about setting up the board to get OS installed.I have the NF4-D board and had a hell of a time the first time out until I did EXACTLY what Rgone said. Then OS installed without fail but I found out that my CD-RW Drive was causing some issues as well. If I had to do it all again I would simply install 1 stick of MEM in the #2 slot- Remove all devices except floppy/cd-rom-Follow Rgone's sticky to the "T" and make all settings he suggested and then go from there. 11. I just recently updated the BIOS to the 3/10 from DFI site.As i'm looking at the Temps in SmartGuardian I notice that the Chipset Temp seems a tad high,or at least higher than it was prior to the update. Is this an acceptable temp? Maybe the Orig BIOS was misreading the actual temp as it seemed to hover around the same readings as the others. Please look at screen shot of SmartGuardian and CPU-Z and let me know if its just me or what!
  12. I had a prob using the TDK CD-RW24/10/40x for some strange reason when I first tried to install everything.I thought maybe the RAM was causing me probs but doesnt seem to be now that I have everything up and running right. Just my 2 cents worth!
  13. Ok, Dropped LDT Multi to 3 and bumped CPU to 254.Ran 3DMark2001 SE and got 16093....CPU Temp seems to hover around 85 F.
  14. Ok, tried those settings and ran 3DMark01 SE and here is the results: 3dmark01 SE = 15693 242x9.0 = 2177.4 Not sure what else is needed but seems like I can get more, however,I'm wondering if more could be obtained with better MEM and the FX? or XT? ver of this 6600 vid card?
