  2. Try here http://www.extremeprometeia.com/acatalog/Power_Supplies.html Regards, Prospec
  3. Try here for a PC Power & Cooling online retailer in the UK. Extreme Promentia Cheers, Steve
  4. Hi all, heres one I made up in Excel for those that use MS Office 2003 Regards, Steve
  5. Anyone got any idea what the difference is between the official BIOS and the Beta BIOS? Cheers, Steve
  6. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6339 http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5973 Have a look at these two threads. They may help, but it seems from the many problems with Ballistix that there is some incompatability with this Ram and the AMD64 boards. Maybe a Bios update will help but thats a problem for Oscar Wu to deal with. Regards, ProSpec
  7. I have given up on my 2 x 512 of PC4000 Ballistix CL2.5 (BL6464Z505). I had the incrementing upwards errors on my first 2 sticks and the second pair just kept failing MemTest 86+ if left running for any length of time. I have swapped them at Overclockers UK for the second time with no problems and have now got 1GB (2 x 512MB) OCZ PC4000 Dual Channel Gold Series EL-DDR CAS2.5 Revision 2. I will try and see what I can get out of these. Cheers, ProSpec P.S. good luck to anyone stiil trying to get their Ballistix to run ok, maybe it only needs a Bios revision to get them up and away!
  8. Hi, I have 2 x 512 of PC4000 Ballistix CL2.5 (BL6464Z505) and my problem is that on first boot from cold I can run 265 x 9.0 (2.385 Ghz) and it will MemTest with no errors for about 4 passes. Then the errors start to appear, 2 or so per pass. If I leave it running overnight I then get over 1000 errors per pass. To get the setup stable I then have to drop down to 200 x 9.0 and still get the occasional error. But if I switch off and leave it, when I switch back on, I can then boot it up again at 265 with no errors. To get a continual run of MemTest with no errors overnight I have to use the "Optimal Settings" in the Bios. Have tried lots of different settings and any thing above 200 x 9.0 will eventually start to give errors. I now feel from other posts that there is some incompatability issues with this Ram and the nF4 boards? Regards, ProSpec
  9. Had plenty of errors after 18 hours solid on MemTest so rather than dropping the Fsb again to find where it went good, I started playing with Tref to see if that made any difference. Tried various values without any improvement before getting fed up and went to "Auto" on Tref and now it sails through without any errors back at 265 Fsb. Any idea what the auto value may be? How to find out? Regards, ProSpec
  10. My setup isn't in a case yet, still testing on the bench. Doesn't feel like the Memory is overheating as the Xp120 is blowing over both sticks and keeping the heatspreaders cool. Maybe its the chipset but thats sat at a steady 40c when MemTesting? Going to have a look at it later to see whats happening after 16 hours MemTesting. Haven't tried the latest NF4LD218 Beta Bios yet to see if that helps. Regards, ProSpec
  11. Hi rhiridflaidd, Using Rgone's Ballistix timings mainly. Have had a few problems and some strange results. On fitting the new Ballistix modules yesterday, they booted straight up into MemTest86+ at 265 x 10 (which was the last settings I had been using) with no errors, pushed them to 268 with no errors over 3 passes. Then into 269 where they gave 3 errors per pass. At this I called it a night and left them MemTesting over night. when I checked them today I was getting about 75 errors per pass, not really what I had expected! I then dropped the Fsb to find where they went good but got all the way to 240 fsb and was still getting errors! At this point I reset the Bios and loaded optimal settings to see if the Modules would run at basic settings ok, this they passed. So I started pushing them 10 fsb ata time on optimal settings only and got back to 245 before getting any errors so I reloaded RGone's settings and am now back at 265 with no errors! Maybe this memory doesn't burn in but generates more errors as it runs? Still playing! Regards, ProSpec
  12. Hi all, a quick update. I was trying the uwackme burn in on this memory and kept getting too many errors to be happy, then realised that one error was constant on one block of Ram. Turned out to be a defective sector on the Ram so I took it back to OcUK and exchanged it. The new set will run stable at 268 x 9.0 (2412 Ghz) with no errors in MemTest86+ Iam now running it at 269 overnight to see if it will burn in any higher. If it does I will raise it 1 fsb at a time untill it reaches its peak. Will also give the NF4LD218 Beta Bios a try to see if thats any better? Regards, ProSpec
  13. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...icron+Ballistix This is RGone's settings and I am using these with only a step down to 2.9 Volts to get 265 x 9.0. Still playing with settings to try to get better results Regards, ProSpec
  14. Running at 267 x 9.0 @ 2.404 Ghz, Cas 2.5-4-3-7 using R.Gone's settings though only running 3.0 volts through the Ram and 1.6 Volts on the chipset. This is only giving me 2 errors per pass on MemTest86+ v1.51. I'm burning in the Memory using the uwackme method so will see if this goes any further. This is on air cooling using a ThermalRight XP-120, was using an Asus Star Ice on my old LanParty UT nF3 250Gb which works very well but don't think it will be as good with the new position of the Cpu on the nF4. Was stuck at 240 with this Memory on my old LanParty UT nF3 250Gb. The memory posts in the Bios at 300 x 7.0 but gives to many errors in Memtest to be viable.
