  1. Yes we can trade ill send you the board and you send me the BH5 Bargain or what !
  2. Well its a spare pc i only use it for windows based stuff. Surprisingly its not slow at all though. I can still play games fine although it does have a 9800 pro in it which probably does most of the work. If i had of got the memory bus back up to normal speed i bet the performance loss from the cache wouldnt have been a great deal. Like how much better did the Barton perform vs the athlon xp certainly not as much as they said. Not rushing to get a new cpu yet but will get a new one when i see a bargain they are still surprisingy expensive for a barton cpu or even a 2400 xp is still more than i would want to pay.
  3. Yes i also Backed up hellfires bios files a while a go you can get them here. Also one of Merlins. All my backups are lanparty versions though. Bios files
  4. Lucky number 3 Yes it would be really useful stealth17. Any chance you could put memtest on that cd as well to make it even sweeter.
  5. Yes thanks tmod you helped me understand the way bios menus work much more now. Im going to make some mods to my neo 2 platinum bios now One more question if thats ok. Ive heard modders talk about the romsip is that the same thing is the _en_code or are they different if its different how do i extract the romsip.
  6. I disabled the default setting before the multipliers. That didnt help either. Couldnt find the point where it id's the cpu. Well thanks for the help Tmod i think ill look for a cheap 1700 xp B to use in spare pc.
  7. Ok did that and now it shows the multis up to 11.5 but still boots with the 22x multi. The 22x no longer shows in the bios though.
  8. Yes it was labelled as the 22x multi. Looks like the 22x just stole the 12x multis space.
  9. Ok flashing it now. Ah didnt work. What its done is it still boots at 22x in the bios when i look at available multipliers it has them all up to 11.5 like i had them enabled then instead of showing 12x it shows 22x. The other multipliers dont show so the _en_code.bin must have been added properly. Any ideas? What about if i completely delete the lines from the higher multis. Although i think now from doing this that the _en_code.bin just enables or disables the setting from showing in the bios and doesnt actually disable the bios ability to run that multi. Do all Nforce2 bios have 22x multi ill have a look around see if i can find a bios from one that maybe doesnt have 22x multi option.
  10. Yay. Ok i disabled all the multis above x12 . Picture Ok going to try and replace the _en_code.bin now with my modded version. Do i want to release the old _en_code.bin then add the new one?
  11. Ok i used the command "cbrom n24ldb24.bin /group extract" it showed the _en_code.bin file and asked what i wanted to extract it as. I typed _en_code.bin and it extracted the file. Then i typed "cbrom _en_code.bin /d" and it opened the bin but was full of just o's at the end cant scroll up to see the top. Saved it to a disk i also extracted the file again and saved it as encode.txt. Just opened it in windows and it has lots of data in there most can be read in english. I see the multipliers and fsb memory timings etc in the text file. How can i edit the bin file is there a way to do it in windows?
  12. lol. Yes I see it now was staring at your example for ages thinking err. Ok I understand what to change so ill try it when i wake up its like 4.30 am now so best not to try. Thanks for your time Tmod. Edit - some of the multipliers appear twice followed by 2E what does 2E signify? Is that the .5 multis.
  13. Ok got a bit further that time managed to fully extract the bios files but couldnt load anything up with cbrom. Maybe i need to try other versions. Couldnt see a _en_code.bin file. Modbin loaded ok wouldnt let me open cbrom from inside it though. Dont know if it should or not but it had the option but was closed off. Need to look at this agin after a nights sleep and after i read your guide again.
  14. Where can i get biosmods v3.6 from? Im using cbrom and award. Doesnt work in NTFS.
  15. Thanks tmod. Thats worth a try. I think i have all the tools i need to do that including your package . Thanks for the offer of help ill post back if i get stuck. Edit - Geez everythings so hard with NTFS. Have windows 2000, xp, xpx64 and 2003 installed. Think ill have to install win 98 now just to edit bios files easier. Finally got cbrom to extract the bios in dos but ran out of floppy disk space so i guess i need to make a fat32 partition next.
