Shortly after I my last post, I got an email from the DFI Tech Support: I mean ... did they even read my mail? Did they check the forums? I guess not.

I sent an E-Mail to AG about two weeks ago, asking him nicely to respond on that problem. Sadly, I didnt get any reaction till now I guess I'll send another mail within the next days, hoping for the best. Greetings

One thing I learned the hard way: wait for a few reviews and comments of other people. That way, your chance for buying a pre-pre-pre-beta board sinks by quite a lot :angel:

For me, its not about using the search function. I wanted that multiplier problem being clearly posted in the bug-forum - and thats what it is, a BUG - and discussed. I know that AG and RG can only try to support and forward various problems to DFI, but I miss a clear message that it has already been forwarded to experts (working directly at DFI) and its being worked on. For me, this is a real, existing issue, and it has been posted all over the forums, so why dont we get a fix for this? I think we, as customers, deserve a MB that just works and doesnt have glitches like it was still in beta stage.

Hey there! Since I got my DFI LP250GB, i got two very different setups: #1: AMD64 3200+ DTR (Clawhammer CG Core, a very bad overclocker. 2350 was max when I got it... now all it can do is around 2100MHz without using insane voltages :confused: ) 2x Corsair CMX512-3200C2 (these were [yes, were - they died like a month ago. 166mhz clocking is now their max they can do, I never overclocked them too far, never got hot, 2.9V max] TCCD afaik) Enermax 350W, I moved then on to a Tagan 360W and I now use an Enermax 475W #2 AMD64 3700+ Desktop (also a Clawhammer CG Core, does 2600MHz with no [email protected]) 2x OCZ Value 512MB (thats Winbond UTT) Enermax 475W I already complained about the 9x multiplier problem on my DTR, and the huge amount of coldboots that were finally resolved with the new 5/04 BIOS (at least for me). Since my RAMs "died", I thought I should change my CPU too, to get finally rid of the coldboots and the bad overclocks. Now, with my new 3700+, I got two "new" problems: Coldboots (!) and a 11x multiplier problem. (!!!) After a few hours of tweaking, I finally managed to get rid of the coldboots - I turned off the Bank Interleaving and all is fine now - 'cept the perfomance loss I experience. But the one thing that REALLY annoys me, is the fact that I can't use the 11x multiplier (edit: aswell as the 9x multiplier! thanks to Capt Proton) 9x220 - hundreds of errors in memtest#5! 10x220 - works great. 11x220 - hundreds of errors in memtest#5! 12x220 - works fine. I mean ... WTF? Now dont tell me that its my RAMs or CPUs fault, I had two completely different setups and still got that multiplier problem. Why doesn't DFI come up with a solution? A new BIOS, maybe? Something? Anything? I think thats my last DFI board I bought ... Thanks anyway zaubara

Depends on the pricing, OC, compatibility and my nerves. These cold boots really piss me off :/ All in all, I'd be interested. Shoot me a PM, please.

Will creating a software RAID0 in Linux result in killing my partitions? *helpless* I never did anything with RAID and Linux yet... Hey there! Yesterday, I tried to install Debian Sarge IA64 on my DFI LP UT 250Gb machine, so i DLed the netinstall image, burnt it and rebooted my box. But the problems already began there. My machine gets stuck at the point where the BIOS says "Booting from CD Rom ...". No kernel loading, no nothing. The disc is 100% fine, I burned it three times; two times out of the three I burned the stable version and one time the latest one. It wouldnt boot, wheter its overclocked or not. Is there anything setting-related Linux doesnt like at all? Anything I can do to get the IA64 version running? Thanks for any of your input, zaubara

Thats a pair of two very different sticks you have there... v1.2 uses Winbond CH-6 v4.1 uses TCCD Try playing around with the Drive Strength feature ... TCCD likes Level 2, try finding a level that both are comfortable with!

Did you already try booting with not using SATA ports 1 and 2, like RGone mentioned?

Maybe you guys are just unlucky... things like this happen, sadly. Compared to the number of boards that work, I dont think that theres something like a flaw on that board... Good luck with your RMA!

Well, probably its not your RAM, but the CPU itself making your system unstable? Give it more juice ...
