  1. i grabbed the MM for grins, it's showing -1 to -1.3v As for tasr, i did have a 'certified' psu for dfi mobo and it damn near burned my house down
  2. Okay, so my last Antec PSU shot sparks out of the tail end earlier this week. So I went and grabbed a UltraX 600w PSU. My 12v rail is reading as low as 11.71, but never higher. Doesn't really bother me, as long as things are stable. Well I've had random... complete power offs of the system this last day. It's definantly not because of temps. So i'm not sure what it can be. System log doesn't have anything about any hardware failure. Happens in both Safe mode and regular operation. My question to you guys... is it because of the low 12v rail?
  3. I'm not getting Lock ups in windows. Everything just freezes, i'm still able to move the cursor, and winamp will finish playing the current song. everything else is nonresponsive. Man I'm not sure what the problem is. Ram is at 2.9 2-3-3-6 timings (these timings are what's labeled on the sticks) I've done upto 10 passes with both sticks, single and dual channel.
  4. Already done like that, thanks. I'm not sure though, i mean i dont get any errors priming/memtesting for hours on end. (upto a day). It's driving me nuts.
  5. not trying to be funny, spyware/viruses can do that ..
  6. Could always plug it into the power supply (grab an adaptor, or make one yourself). I'm too lazy to reboot and look in the bios.. But did you look for an "always on option" eh, sorry.
  7. oh man that's great, how'd you pull that off? Bend one and tried to bend it back? Could always try super fine solder job if it's a pin on the outside, hell i'm not even sure that'd work, haha.
  8. How about a suggestion? It's a pain in the butt looking for drivers. I installed the one's from NV's site a few hours ago.
  9. Actually have no idea what kind of a PSU it is... haha. I really wasn't having this problem... until recently. I hadn't changed anything before it started happening. When it did i went out and grabbed new drivers and such. I used to have 1gb kit of GeiL3500, that memtested baaad at stock... so I upgraded to the XMS kit here. Hoping that the problems would go away. This is a current build, the only thing that's changed since august is the ram.
  10. Alright folks, i'm not sure what the deal is here. I'm guessing it has to be either the videocard, or driver problems. It might be ram, but I've tried 3 different kits here, and the stuff i've got in now (2days old) memtests 10 passes w/o problems. Right now everything is set to stock speed/voltages. Steam games lock up, like studdering sound (i've actually seen this same problem a lot, just can't remember where) i can alt+tab out, but the time it takes for it to "chill out" i might as well just reset. It's not just steam games, other games just lock up and i can't get out of them [reset]. I don't think it's a temperature problem I can dual prime for hours on end. video card? ram? drivers? thanks ***Running Latest Forceware drivers on XP64
  11. I'm not looking for a heavy overclocker... just put me in the 2.8 range. I mean the stuff i have now puts me there. I was just looking for larger capacity... (I bought the ram, i couldnt wait for replies). I do a lot of audio editting, so i actually use both cores simultaneously, and 1GB just wasn't cutting it.
  12. Definantly more responsive (as everyone has said) I've got wicked fast boot times. I guess the only problem i've had with it at all is making sure your programs work with 64. IE: the smart guardian util that comes wi th the mobo doesnt work with xp64.
  13. I'm tired of the GEIL 3500 Ult Plats in here, i've decided to upgrad to a 2gb kit. I was wondering what you guys thought about Corsair's XMS PC3200 stuff. Seems like a sweet deal for 190$ (freeshipping) i'm only looking for maybe 230mhz out of it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820145574
  14. I have the same problem with my 4800, except... in device manager it shows up at standard pc... instead of single/multiprocessor
