  1. well basically it crashes and says something about memory. "The Instruction at 0x####### referenced memory at 0x#######. The memory could not be 'read'"
  2. Ok so i've now tried 2 different computers with the same results. If i up the fsb past 200mhz half-life 2 and all associated games don't work. But i can leave it at 200mhz and crank the multi has high as i want with no problems. i.e. 10x210mhz = not workinng 13x200mhz = working yes my ram is stable at 210 ... actually it's stable in everything except this game all the way up to 250. So has anyone else encountered this problem and have you found a solution.
  3. if you can run everything you want/need to then your box is stable enough for you.
  4. I run my ram at 3.3v and have done so for close to 8 months. You will want some active cooling on them, but you should be fine. I've heard of people running 3.6v for extended periods for time.
  5. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
  6. OK well my roommate just got his computer(specs below). Is there any real advantange right now to run windows XP 64bit. He will basically be playing C&C generals and Half Life 2. He wants to overclock it to 2.4 or 2.5ghz Specs: AMD64 3500+ Winnie DFI LP Nforce 4 Ultra -D OCZ Gold Rev 3 3700 2x512MB 74gig WD 10k Raptor Forton Blue Storm 500W XFX GeForce 6800 GT Swiftech MCX6400-V with Delta 110cfm *I think that's the basics*
  7. i run mine at 250x10 all the time. i could possibly run it at an 11 multi but the room isn't cold enough on a constant basis.
  8. i realise nobody has actually started modding the bios yet but the board will need the RD1-PMC4 correct?
  9. I was told that temperature kills components. If you don't throw an absurd number of volts at it 3+ then all you have to worry about is the temp.
  10. I meant to post this a while ago but anyway. For the past month i've been getting random freezes. It always happened when my computer was left idle over the night or when i would go to class. Really sucks for using your computer as an alarm clock. I was using the 3EGrev 3. Now with the new TT it hasn't happened once and it used to be clock work. Great job Hellfire, definitely worth the wait.
  11. Swiftech MCX 159 is the best. Though there is an argument for the MicroCool NorthPole being the best.
  12. i second that but if you want to go higher you're going to need a better cooler
  13. As i go, 40's are ok for load but anything over 50 and it's looking too hot for my taste. In overclocking the first killer is heat.
