  1. You can use animation shop to do it real easy..from jasc, part of the psp anniversary edition
  2. Well, mine also stems back a ways it has been shortened a bit over the years Originally it was geebo21 Which was a conjunction of geek(who'da guessed) and rambo and 21 geek -rambo..go figure got that from my commercial diving career, geek cause I always had the latest and most technical equipt...rambo cause I'd dive anywhere anytime no fear of storms etc.. the 21 cause at the time I was 21..which explains the rambo part as at 21 we all think we're invincible so at my first internet account (ao'hell) I tryed just geebo..course it was taken but in the suggestions it came back with gebo21 so I kept it....that was 19 years ago and I haven't changed it since and use it anywhere I go.
  3. Looks like that bios with the newer sata bios did the trick, Been running 10 days with no probs...Man am I happy now
  4. O.K. can't seem to find anything on the mod 15, Checked seagate's site then did a google...no info found Anyone got anymore info on that 1?

  6. Well, I stuck in rgone's bios..hope it helps...its run prime 95 for 7 hrs so far with the wireless setup and all programs loaded..I did do the acpi and the M$ 331958 update...but I think the bios will be the trick if anything helps...as windows never had a problem, just the raid array in bios..gues if this doesn't work I may just yank 1 hard drive and run the raid as a normal sata controller..then just skip using the mirror array Thanks rgone
  7. Doesn't matter what I use..still detects them as generic drives.... only noticed this when I was lookin for the acoustic management thing posted earlier...they do show when connected to my nf7s(which uses a sil 3112 chip)though Thats why I'm thinking a new bios for just the sata may help everything else on the board works great with the last official bios and thats why I just want to do the sata update This box is'nt getting o/ced or any thing I just want it stable before I send it back to boston(I am in fla)
  8. GodD*mit, its back.... any one know a way to update thr sil3114r bios and leave the motherboard bios intact? gettin to be a last ditch effort now I did notice 1 thing though...I tried to use the seatools(diagnostic software for seagate drives)and it wouldn't recognize the drives, but if I connect the drives to my nf7s they are recognized no problem(as seagate drives) does anyone else get this with seagate sata drives on a lanparty b?
  9. I did do the m$ update, But have never heard of acoustic management. The drives are set up in a 4 k cluster, I did check that. I am using the lastest sil 3114 driver but, Not latest bios(using whatever is in bios 11-27) For the rest of you, the case is a sunbeam uv reactive With l.e.d.s (got it from directron (sold out at the moment)) With a coolmods cpu fan,5 uv reactive case fans,& added uv leds and 2 uv cold cathodes The cd roms are painted w/ uv reactive paint(purple)and are transparent (artec) the p/s is an aspire 550 watt w/window and uv sleving Fan control is with a fan master sf-609 by Super Flower think that covers most of it
  10. I think I got it..I disabled the raid, completly wiped both disks (low level format) ran fdisk from a win 98 startup disk, then reconfigured the raid(as a mirror)then reloaded xp(with latest sil 3114 drivers) seems ok, haven't had the corruption issue yet...Still don't know what caused it, or what cured it( I think it may have been somthing on one of the disks from the factory) Thanks to all for sugestions
  11. Using lax timings..not set up for performance..if it was mine it would be using a mobile barton 2500, ocz ram, and water cooling P.S. oh yea mem only running @333 fsb and set for optimal in bios Still think it's a similar prob as what I had w/ my nf7s O.K. was gonna try laxing memory even more...Set it to 2.5,3,3,7 default is 2,3,3,6 memory is geil ddr 433 uld dual channel memory with the platinum heat spreaders boot it up with a standard keyboard and mouse...all aok. shut it down..connect wireless keyboard and mouse, boot up...corrupted raid array ok reconnect wired keyboard and mouse..delete and recreate mirror array...shut down. Install my ocz pc3500 performance series 1 gig dual channel memory..set to optimal (which just happens to be 2.5,3,3,7) reboot...all aok....shut down..reconnect wireless keyboard and mouse...pray...restart...1st boot aok..2nd aok...3rd boot..sata array corrupted Can't beleve it's the memory if neither worked, thinking about puttin in a nf7s but who want's a boring nf7 in This Lighted
  12. I think my sig has full specs of this system. So the problem..On reboot I get a raid error of corrupt raid array, this occurs about every third reboot, I can delete the raid array and recreate it, which lasts about 3 boots..I cannot rebuild as the system locks @ the confirmation prompt..next weird thing..I do not get this error if I remove the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse and use a wired set. So the question is is there a bios fix for this? I tried to check the Dfi website (www.dfi.com.tw) but only my present bios is listed I had this problem with my Abit nf7s which was cured by a bios update This computer is for a freind who happens to reside in boston(and I am in Fl.)and is totally computer illerate so the delete and rebuild option won't work for her. So will 1 of the beta bios's cure this problem? thanks for any help sorry for the long sig
