  1. So my Logitech "Precision PC Gaming" headset halfway broke. What I mean is, the left ear completely died on it. I took it apart and all the connections were fine and didn't feel like digging deeper to find out exactly what happened. Well, now begins my hunt for either a new headset or new headphones. My 3 options are: 1) Wired Headset (Mic+Headphones) 2) Wireless Headset 3) Wireless headphones + a cheap seperate mic for when I need it. I've really wanted a high quality pair of wireless headphones for a while, I"m a bit of an audiophile, but I really want a wireless pair. Does anyone have any recommendations? Edit - Budget is $100 at MAXIMUM! I really want to keep it at $50 or less though. Edit 2 - Amazon has the Sennheiser RS120 for $70 with a $20 MIR to Sennheiser bringing the cost down to $20. Are they any good?
  2. I'm really not sure if I want widescreen or not, or exactly what size. The only thing I really know is that it needs to be affordable, maybe around 22 inches? About $200 is my budget. What are the advantages and disadvantages of widescreen? I've always preferred widescreens (Both of our main TVs in the house are widescreens). What are the disadvantages to it on a monitor though? Edit: The 3 that have my interest right now are below: Samsung 906BW - $219 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001094 Samsung 920NW - $199 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001100 Samsung 953BW - $209 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001269 LG L206WTY-BF - $219 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824005096
  3. Copied and pasted from my thread on Neoseeker: Yeah, it's official. Linksys quality has gone down the crapper in recent years. They used to bow to a customers every needs and be apologetic if ANYTHING happened. Check this out. I had a spare V3.0 Linksys router sitting around. It works PERFECTLY. All the PCs work, the PS3 works, the PSP works. I contact Linksys customer support and tell them about this. Their response? "We are aware of this issue with the Version 8 revision of the router. All we can suggest is that you purchase a new router. We cannot do anything to assist you any further with this issue". Did I mention that when I chatted with an official and told him about the issue, he completely ignored me for over an hour before signing off? UGH, I hate crappy customer service.
  4. Which DD-WRT firmware are you using? I'm definitely gonna try it.
  5. My router is hardware version 8 though. Can I just downgrade to a V7 firmware? And going wireless with my PC is out of the question. I'm a gamer, and I hate wireless things.
  6. Just my luck. My router is fully updated, It's on firmware 8.00.5. How would I go about downgrading it? Oh, and yeah, it's on mixed mode.
  7. I've tried everything, but my piece of . router is messing everything up. Getting a new one is out of the question though. No matter if I do WEP or no encryption at all, it refuses to connect. With a WEP key, it gives me a "The connection to the access point has timed out", with no encryption, it gives me a message that says "A connection error has occurred. A connection to th eaccess point could not be established. Check the security settings for the router and try again". Edit : WPA key = same error as no encryption I'm getting so sick of this .. I STILL haven't been able to get my slim online. Also, my router = Linksys Wrt54G v8 Another also - the router works just fine with all the laptops, the desktop, and the PS3
  8. It shouldn't be an issue. Oh, by the way, that's not a CNPS9700NT. It's a 9700LED. The NT's are black, the LEDs are orange.
  9. I found out the hard way you can't bind stuff to the middle button. *Sigh*
  10. I've got dual S-Flex fans and I have to admit, I'm VERY impressed. When they turned on for the first time, i did a double take. I can't hear them at ALL. All I hear is the air going into and out of the case. I can't hear the actual fans.
  11. I've got a Zalman CNPS9700NT at the moment, and I'm loving it. It's keeping my overclocked Q6600 (3.2GHz) at 30 idle, 40 load.
  12. Haha, yup, I'm a n00b at this. I'll read through all that again and see what I can do. I've done some looking around though, and it turns out it's insanely hard to get that high of a FSB on a Q6600 with my Motherboard. 0_0 Almost everyone stopped OCing at 333, yet I went to 380. xD
  13. Motherboard = GA-965p-DS3 CPU = Q6600 G0 stepping HS/Fan = Zalman CNPS9700NT I managed to get it to 380X9, and even to 385X9, but any higher, and my computer shuts off, turns back on, shuts off, turns back on, exactly 3 times, before resetting itsself to stock speeds (266X9). I'm thinking it's the motherboard, as it's rated for a 1333mhz FSB, yet the FSB got to 1540 before it refused to go higher. Is the motherboard my bottleneck? Is there anything I can do short of buying a new Mobo to get it to 400X9 (3.6Ghz)?
  14. I ended up hitting a limit too. Mine was 380X9 (3420). I'm leaving it there. The reason mine bottlenecked was the motherboard. My FSB was ~1540, yet the mobo was rated for 1333. =P
