  5. Wow. i posted this last night before going to bed, and this morning 6 new fantastic replies waiting for me . Thank you so much! Ok I have decided to go for the X1950 PRO 512mb radeon, but is it going to be compatible with my mobo? Please post your opinions. And if you hink my mobo also needs an improvements can you please suggest a good , low price mobo that is compatible with the AMD AM2 X2 6000. And also some of you said that a cheaper INTEL CORE 2 DUO can be overclocked to 2.2-4ghz and will overscore the AMD, but the AMD is 3ghz in stock, once its OC it can go way higher. Thank You.
  6. Dear online friends, I currently have an “Ok” computer which I am thinking of either upgrading or replacing with a whole new system. My pc is: Amd64 3000+ (Overclocked to 2.4ghz and runs perfectly) Gigabyte Ga-K8NF-9 Motherboard Nvidia Geforce 6200 TC PCI-E 1gig of DDR400 ram 160gigs hard drive DVD burner. I feel that the things I need to change are my processor, graphics card and motherboard. I am definitely going to be changing the mobo, or else it won
  7. Thank you for the replies guys. Altough i havnt came up with a solution yet, i really i apreciate ur support.
  8. Ye there is no option. And CPU-Z tells me that its single channel. And also when i start the computer the bios tell me that Its a 64bit single channel. Thank you.
  9. It says it does on the front cover. And ive read other topics with people who have the same mobo and can run dual channel. The CPU-Z shows - Channel # : Single And also u mentioned they have to be set to the same timings ? How do i do that. Thank you for the reply.
  10. Hey Everyone, I have an amd64 3000+ Venice 939. My mobo is GA-K8NF-9 and I have two sticks of DDR400 ram (512mbs). I have tried all sorts of different combinations to put the sticks in different slots and whatever i do it always ends up as a single 64 bit channel. Could you pelase give out some tips on how to fix this problem. Both sticks of ram are the same but are different brands and one is single sided, I am not sure if thats the problem. I have also upgraded to BIO v F10 because several people mentioned that it fixed the problem for them. Unlikely it didnt fix it for me . I am also sure that my mobo supports dual channel because its writen on the box. Please help me out . I am stuck after reading a hell lot of info on dual channels. Also read the guide for my mobo and no luck so far Thank you.
  11. Ok i did that but when i started the machine it still said 64-bith single channel... I also tried all sorts of different combinations and no luck. Do i also have to change something from the bios after i change the sticks around. Another things i notices was that the two pieces of ram were same ( both ddr400) but were different brands. Does that matter? Please Post sugestions. Thank you.
  12. Oh thank yo so much! I am going to give it a try now and see how i go. I will updated u soon with the results. Thank you.
  13. Hey thanks for the reply. I afterall found the problem. The Ht freq brought my whole oc down. I changed it to X1 . Becuase it only works at X1 and i now succesfully oc my pc to 2.4 ghz. The problem is , even before the OC my computer experienced several crashes and restars due to ram issues. I have read other posts and they say it is because the computer can not use 2 peices of ram succesfully in single channel and has to be switched to dual. My 2 ram pieces are located in the first two slots . ( purple ) The other two slots are orange and they are free. On the front cover of the mobo box it says that it is a DUAL CHANNEL DDR400 motherboard so i know it can be done. I have read other topics where you can unable to DUAL channel by pressing F8 after going into bios. In my case F8 only leads me into the Q-Flash section. Please Help. Thank You.
  14. By going into the computer's health option in Bios it says its 39 degrees at 1.45 ( which i modified ). When it was at 1.40 (stock) it stayed at around 30- 35 degrees. (Celcius) I uploaded images of my bios options above. Can some one please tell me how to fix that single channel into a dual. Thank You.
