  2. Brand new install. Thanks in advance.
  3. Built the comp myself with ASUS Crosshair Mainboard, Corsair memory and ADM chip. Installed XP pro 32 bit. It won't restart or boot from power off without turning the power off and on again at least twice- sometimes more each time. Worst case I need to hit the F1 key to start windows.
  4. no - how do I accomlish it? Well I changed the settings in the Extreme Tweeker Screen Then I attempted to reboot- received the same error message- then I hit the F1 Key and... It booted into windows xp OK! ??? Is this normal ??? and the error message comes on each time and I can hit the F1 Key and it's still OK?!
  5. It gives me a boot failure message when I attempt to boot after the clean install. Here is the main page from the bios cmos setup utility: PrimaryIDE Master: [TSSTcorpCD/DVDW] PrimaryIDE Slave: [TSSTcorpCD/DVDW] SATA 1: [WDC WD2500KS-00M] SATA 2: [NONE] SATA 3: [WDC WD2500KS-00M] SATA 4: [NONE] SATA 5: [NONE] SATA 6: [NONE] HDD SMART Monitoring [Dissabled] Installed Memory 4096MB Usable Memory 4095MB Thanks in advance!
  6. Nvida reports earnings tomorrow 11/09/06- A good day to buy the stock: NVDA before it goes UP! With Windows VISTA being more graphics intensive NVDA should prosper next year.
  7. Well I assembled everything...then I plugged it in the only thing I observed is a glow of blue led lights inside the case. Nothing else occured It was the 8 pin power cable- I had installed a 4 pin due to the fact that the factory had a plastic plug over 4 of the pins! Now This Occured!!! I made it past the bios setup. Now it won't boot into windows. I get this error message: "Insuficient memory to start windows remove one or more resident programs or unnecessary utilities from the config.sys or autoexec.bat files and restart computer." I'm using my old IDE HHD frome my old 800Mhz Pentimum 3 with windows 98SE on it. Thanks!
  8. I read a review of the crosshair mboard on another techi bboard. I can't seem to find the link, darn it I thought I bookmarked it but didn't.
  9. I was advised to only install one memroy stick for the initial setup until after the bios is flashed. Was that your experience bigred?
  10. I'm building my first system: Asus Crosshair motherboard, AMD A64 X2 4800+, Corsair DDR2 800mhz 4-4-4-12 memory- 4 1024mb sticks. Anyone here recently build a similar system who can advise me as to any problems with the initial setup? Guidence is appreciated. Thanks in advance. IT FAILED TO BOOT - BLUE LIGHTS ONLY - I CHANGED THE JUMPER SETTINGS AND CHECKED CONNECTIONS.
