Ok, Specs are: Intel P4 HT @ 3.2ghz ATI radeon x800xl P4SD-VL MoBo 160 gigs hd 7200 rpm DVD-Rom DVD/CD rw combo 512mb ram 400mhz DDR Microsoft windows xp service pack 2

If the max power of a PsU is 400 watts, then whats the average of wattage used. My current PsU is 266.6 watts MAX. so adding a x800xl and a 400watts MAX PsU should be good enough to run the comp without any difficulties. right?

Both companies are respectable and very good at what they do. AMD is just like a cheaper version of Intel if you ask me cause i have seen the same if not better Intel technology the difference is the price. Something that costs 500$ for Intel is like 300$ for AMD. Both companies are very good at making chips. I own both so i cant really take sides.
