Hey guys, im looking for a cheap heatsink for a p4 2.53ghz, just to decrease the heat a bit more, i have Asus p4s8x-x motherboard and a intel p4 2.53ghz cpu. Which is a good heatsink + fan to choose? I also need a silent fan for the heatsink. Thanks

lol my bad but i bet theres not 1 person who didnt kno i really meant 9cm lol back onto topic... lyk i said i have 1 fan on this crappy ATX case and im geting 52C without overclocking... if i move my whole pc to my new Thermaltake Armour case with 2x 12cm fans and 2x 9cm fans, plus air filtered drive bays, will my tempature decrease dramaticly? thanks

Yeh i just overclocked it from 2.53ghz to 2.66ghz and it said unstable Its coz i have only 1 fan.. if i stick 3 more fans (2x12cm and 1x90cm) will it cool the CPU down a bit?

Hmmm i cant pass OCCT for the full 30 mins... it keeps saying the CPU is too hot and exceeded the temperature threshold at 51 degrees. I have pentium 4 2.53ghz. What should i do to just pass the test? Thanks

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. I got CPU is too hot while running the OCCT test lol. I havent even overclocked my computer, i just thought id do a test as is. The CPU digit on OCCT is set to 51 so that means 51 degrees is too hot yeh.... so is 50 degrees the absalute most the CPU temp should be? oh and in OCCT.. if my core digit is 1.53, is that good or bad? as if my 12V digit is 11.71 is that good or bad? Thanks

Ahh i got it working when i installed MBM5. Now what do all these 3.3v,5v,12v etc mean? And what did r_target mean when he said that after u do OCCT u should do Prime95? Should i select 32MB always when doing Prime95? oh and How would i know if im running to hot after an overclock? Thanks

Yeh but when i pick fan theres a bunch of options it asks me 2 pick... CPU and Case temperatures and stuff i dont know what to choose, then it asks volatages. What do i do? thanks for all da help.

I installed speedfan just then... but how do i configure OCCT with it? and how do i configure OCCT itself? in speedfan theres a bunch of different temps and stuff i dont know whats wat. thanks

I was doing things while OCCT was running.. i then did the test again and it said that it tested my computer sucessfully. Looked into c:\program files\occt\graphs\ and i see nothing still. whats going on wif the graphs? i wanna find out my temperature and stuff... even all the digits in the OCCT program (cpu,mobo,core,3.3v etc.) dont even go higher. thanks

full load? oh and im having a problem with OCCT... it said my CPU usage was under 90% but it made a graph anyway.. i went into the folder and there was none. How do i get the graph? Oh and when i run OCCT in test mode, the red hard drive light on my ATX case doesnt even fully stay on all the time even tho it says the cpu usage is high.. why is that? is it just testin the ram or something? Hey guys... what options do i choose on Super PI and then how do i start it checking my CPU? So that i can check if my overclock is fine... and how do i know if its not fine? Will the program lock up or something? If you can write me a mini tutorial it would be great. Also how do i use Prime95 and SiSoft Sandra? Which programs do which? like which programs check 2 make sure ur pc is fine and stuff? Thanks

Yeh well the motherboard im getting is: http://www.pcmarket.com.au/3050_MSI_K8N_Ne..._Ultra_Sock.php So i should be able to install 2 IDE hard drives i have, 2 CD roms, and still have 8 SATA slots left because i have nothing thats SATA??? that rite?? thankz

What kind of fan controler can i get? Will the Thermaltake Hardcano 13 do?
