also check if your video drivers are up to date, i mean this might have nothing to do with what you are experiencing, but i too have had the problem in the past of games crashing with directx error messages popping up

"Well being that this is my first post on the AnandTech Forums, I shall give a brief introduction. I'm currently running off a Sager NP4760 laptop and I really want to go back to a desktop. I haven't really built a computer since my old desktop when I put that baby together back in 1999. Since then, I've just been lurking and posting on forums, reading up, helping friends with their comps, etc. etc. So presently I am college student wanting a desktop for various apps and games (and naturally for normal use). Apps include photoshop, illustrator, director, the macromedia MX suite, quark, 3ds max, vray, etc. etc... anyways, for a few months now i've been deciding on the various parts of a new rig that will suite my needs, the only hard part has been deciding on a mobo. i've read countless articles and forum threads (on OCC, AnandTech, dfi-street, amdzone), and i've pretty much narrowed it down to the following and would like any feedback: ASUS A8N-E reason: asus reliabilty, i had read many good points regarding the bios setup, also pretty cheap BFG nForce 4 Ultra reason: while yes it falls behind in some areas compared to other boards there is the great tech support. EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra reason: cheap and the mobo roundup article on anandtech showed good results DFI LanpartyUT nF4 Ultra-D reason: after reading about various problems and realizing that OC'ing is not a priority for me, this has now fallen to the bottom of my list, eventhough i have heard countless times it is an amazing board. so basically that's it. any comments positive/negative/whatever would be greatly appreciated. thanks edit: p.s. sorry i wrote so much crap...i just realized that now haha. also forgot to mention i will be using the 4400+ X2"

Want To Rename Harddrive Letter, But Windows Says
patio furniture replied to BlaineBug's topic in Drives and Storage
cant you just open computer management and then go to disk management to reassign the drive letter, thereby the paths will change and everything will sort itself out? or am i incorrect and therefore deserve a slap in the face? -

i'm really liking the antec, just that i'm worried the PSU cables won't reach the connectors on the mobo -

i notice you switched the location of the bottom fan, did that help a lot to reduce cable clutter and possible fan jamming? also, was it hard to switch (i.e. was there mounting brackets on that side of the compartment?) -
