  1. Here's one: Thermalright SI-97 And another: Thermalright SI-97 #2
  2. That's what I have on my rig and I get load temps of 34C and idle of 27C.
  3. Sounds like your PSU is the culprit. I had a similar problem, then I got a new power supply, and no problems since.
  4. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811145019 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811145023 I currently have the bottom one.
  5. Get the SI 97. I have it and it dropped my temps 15C! Why do people come to these boards, ask for advice, then do the exact opposite of what is recommended?
  6. That would be your motherboard temperature. It will list it as CPU temp.
  7. I tried this before, and it made no difference for me. I also tried stacking 2 fans on top of each other just to see what it would do. No change.... Now sticking fans on the side with the top fan blowing up.... now this I have to try just to see what it does.
  8. Whoops didn't see his post... Oh well
  9. If anyone needs the coolbits registry entries here they are: Copy from below this line. ---------------------------------- REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvTweak] "CoolBits"=dword:00000003 "NvCplEnableHardwarePage" = dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage" = dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableAdditionalInfoPage"=dword:00000001 "CinematicPageState"=dword:000000ff "DisableApplyColorsAtStartup"=dword:00000000 "NoMenus"=dword:00000000 "NoPages"=dword:00000000 "NvCplAllowForceTVDetection"=dword:00000001 "NvCplCustomResConfig"=dword:00000000 "NvCplDisablePerfQualPage"=hex:00,00,00,00 "NvCplDisableRefreshRatePage"=dword:00000000 "NvCplDisableRotateAngles"=dword:00000000 "NvCplEnableActiveApp"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableAdditionalInfoPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableClearViewPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableDesktopOverlapPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableFanControl"=dword:00000003 "NvCplEnableFrameSyncPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableHardwarePage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnablenForcePage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableOverlaySpanControl"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnablePwrMzrOnDesktopMenu"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableRotationColorSettings"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableScreenMenuPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplEnableTroubleshootingPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplExposeWin2kDualView"=dword:00000001 "NvCplNvThermPage"=dword:00000001 "NvCplTvLocaleAutoDetect"=dword:00000001 "NvCplThermalSettings"=dword:00000020 "OverlayPageState"=dword:00000000 "PowermizerPreferences"=dword:00000000 "QTwkEnableModeChangeWarning"=dword:00000001 "TwinViewCapsOverride"=dword:00000001 ------------------------------------------------------ Stop at the above line. Ok now to use it, open notepad, copy and past the above information. Now, rename the file extension from .txt to .reg and double click it. The system will prompt you if you are sure you want to do this. Click yes, and viola there you go. No third party programs needed (although Rivatuner has alot of cool stuff in it). To use it, right click on your desktop, select properties, then settings tab, then click on the advanced button, Select the tab with your video card on it, then on the lefthand side select clock frequency settings. As always easy does it. Bump it up little by little and check for artifacts. When you see artifacts, bump it back down a few mhz and there you go instant overclock
  10. I can't speak for the 2600, but I have a 2800 running at 2.505 ghz prime stable.
  11. I had a stable overclock on my old Biostar m7ncd PRO motherboard of 2.4 ghz. As for the cooler, I have a THermalright SI-97 and it rawks!
