  1. Update on the pc. running great, even better now that I upgraded the cpu to the max the board can take(phenom II x4 955 3.2ghz). Also found the identical set of ram on ebay! so I'll be doubling to 8gb. This old build still has some life left. Thanks all for your help! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Blue screened as soon as windows loaded on 5-5-5-15. Seems to be running good so far on 5-6-6-17. Thanks for the help! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Yes. Thanks for your help. The memory and spd tabs were confusing me. I've figured out how to change to 533mhz. And change my timing to 6-6-6-18. If I change timing settings to auto it gives me 5-7-7-20 which is better? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. I found it. Cpuz shows it running at 533mhz. So I'm good there. The timing not being 6-6-6-18 is still confusing me though? Or don't I need to worry about that? And why in cpuz it says it's pc2 6400 400mhz max bandwidth? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. I was able to find a memory clock speed and turned it up to 533mhz. And changed everything else to auto and now it shows it runing at 533mhz and the timing at 5-7-7-20 but still says its pc2 6400 400mhz maximum band width? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. Hello. I'm a long time pc hobby builder but new to overclocking. I built mine over 8 years ago and its still going strong. But for that many years I've over looked the fact that my 4gb ddr2 1066 ram (f2-8500cl6-2gbnq) has been running at 400mhz[emoji22]. I don't know much about timing and such, but I do know that when the sticker on the ram stick says pc2 8500 6-6-6-18 2.0v-2.1v and speccy shows pc2 6400 5-5-5-15 something is not right. I was able to play with the OC settings and get it to show 6-6-6-18 but it still shows pc2 6400 400mhz. I was also able to change memory voltage to 2.1 but didn't seem to make a difference. What am I missing? What else do I need to change? -Biostar tf8200 a2+ -amd phenom x4 9850 BE 2.5ghz -4gb(2x2gb) g.skill ddr2 -evga nvidia gtx1050ti 4gb Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. That's awesome! Probably my biggest concern with it maybe not working, is I couldn't find a z955. Thank you! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Hello. I have a biostar tf8200 a2+ mobo(link below) with an AMD phenom 9850+ in it. I want to upgrade to a phenom II z955. The issue I'm having is all I can find on ebay is the 955 in am3. I read somewhere am3 cpu will work in am2/am2+ if it has 125w. I can't figure out what wattage this mobo has and if this is true or not? Any input would be helpful. http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=353#specification Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
