  1. It's not just frequency and Primary Latencies... The real indicator should be your dram efficiency. How do the perform, AIDA64 has a small tool called CacheMem. It test the dram (and also the cache), stating: Read Speed, Write Speed and latency. A nice indicator of the performance. See pics, it's on x99 but same thing applies Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  2. Don't agree.. Tweaking an XMP able kit is still selected from a large number of sticks did or dit not get to higher binning plane. But binning still leaves room Voor bad,, average, great and golden one. Since XMP only changes very little settings (say 6 primary timings) than you add vDimm and your done? The enormous amount of settings it could have also set must you give some hint. Either nut jobs put it all for page filling Or by jolly it could also mean that for those who want even more capacity.. It is for the taking.. I can bring fully backed up by empirical research, and many hiscores in overclocking competitions are all findable @hwbot.org Example, motherboard cpu gpu 4xdram. User is doing heavy 3D designing on the Unreal Engine. That where a you always find thee weakest part in your system. Dram was 2400 c9, XMP slapped in. Done. Rendering took 48 minutes. Went diving in with windows Sys-internals. Some more looks. Bottleneck dram couldn't keep up with cpu, therefore cpu cache and there for dram where Nog getting continues flow. Fixed the problem Bij OC-ing de Core and the cache but most by squeezing the best out of them Remark: (instability in a system = overclocking failed) Do more testing. And ohh the rendering of previous render task dropped to 28 minutes. Memory bandwith on dram increased : Read Speed 86000mbps (WAS 62500) Write Speed 79981mbps (was 59000 Copy 82000mbps (was 70000) Latency (round trip iol) 47,1. Time invested 5 hrs. Up and running for > 24 Months Time is seen as something large and bulky but those systems crunch numbers where data rate from hdd/sss/dram/mobo/cpu/gpu. Also interfere.. Increased level 3 cache. Read speed went from 1400 Gigabyte PerSecond up to 2400... Try imagining that. Fairly sure that dram tuning might have a future lol Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  3. If you happen to own a synology Nas or running Xpenology on windows rack server... Just plug the usb printer cable in the NAS. Run Synology Assistant. It finds the printer. The printer is now integrated in the network. And usable from AL networked devices. Easy as Pie[emoji512] Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  4. This is a quad channel kit I quess, so not aimed at X99? Not that your average x99 owner, wil get a full XMP running 4x8GB > 3200Mhz with very tightly squeezed laties[emoji16] Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk Anything know about the IC manufacturer? (probably Samsung B dies right)? How about price? Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk

  6. Dont you agree that its weird that people that buy high clocked sticks. Just mount them, reboot set to xmp and bye bye... As if xmp would even remotely com close Tot optimal settings including tertiary and even the rtl's and Iols. Ik generely very easily find settings that boost dram efficiency by 40% or more... Keeping voltages in the Normale 24/7 use range... Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  7. No need for horror stories. Simply use common sense. If it feels fishy.. It is. But there goed place to get that hardware from experienced and seasoned overclockers[emoji16]. http://hwbot.org/user/henkenator68nl/ Check the HWBOT forum. The market place is littered with delidded golden cpu's. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  8. I have almost identical rigg running perfectly. Have benched the bastaard relentlessly. So that might qualifie for some 1 on 1 advice right. But first things first did you strip tha rigg. Take mobo place on cardboard, check cpu, heating good connected? Thermal paste? Take off all extra fans. Only connect : ~ cpu + cooler (connect that Also!!) ~ 24pins power connector ~ 4/6/or 8pins power connector ~ place 1 gpu. Easier to use a light old gpu (Radeon 3750 or gtx8800} ~ connect analog pinnen mobo and mouse (haven't got them use usb) POWER the rigg, any beeping {you need a speaker connected on fp connector. Does systeem come through boot Loop? If so you should get message that dram is not installed. Place 1 stick on top left from cpu in light Grey slot. Reboot? Issues? Let me know and we'll get to the bottom of this [emoji16] Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  9. You can save a lot of time by drawing a scalled 3D model, taken 1 on 1 measurings. Draw all stuff in you want to make flexible to be workable. But by God please calculate the largest tdp amount that you will ever need worst case scenario.... Even than, I guess you could do with halve of the amount (rough guess).
  10. Need more from my tips? Just let me know Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk
  11. NUMBER OF RULE OF THUMB RULZ : 1. START WITH INCOMING IZRA POINT IN YOUR HOUSE, ROOM.. This should be in absolute pristine condition, only than you get the best signal, a good starting point. See that is perfect. 2. Where do you not want that socket... Correct not in the suppliance cupboard, where all the copper pippin, metal support struts, metal piping. Sticking this in small space is the worst place for the router. Why? The Faraday effect... An in essence keeps radio signals trapped. A microwave oven works the same. So take out there. 3. Look for heavy metal construction embedded in your house/room. They will also mean loss of signal. 4.So now we no where we don't want to be, where do we want to be? Routers are in essence radios zo they love to be mounted on a flat wall between 150cm En 180cm high, they love sending/receiving information. This works best where it a a clearing from 30 to 50 cm around the model.. (yeas it looks like some picture that is shown in a galary. Using a modem test comes with external antennas. Work way better. Screw them on. Now. You are ready to start testing. Draw a map of the house en take measurements on all locations. Test the wifi signal strength, with tool like wifi analyzer.
