I like the audio and cpu, but the gpu doesn't seem up to par

$1000 Gaming budget!?!?

11 November 2015 - 07:26 PM

I'm looking to build my 1st PC. I would like 1080p gaming at above average FPS. Main genres I play are Sports, Racing & RPGs. Majority of the budget can go to the Motherboard/CPU/GPU portion of the build. A full array of connectivity options[wired/wireless] wanted. Audiophile level sound would be awesome. I always liked those Thermaltake cases too, Level 10 & Chaser MK, gotta have one of those. I would imagine I'm over the budget with my requests, so perhaps another $200-300 could be added to it.

Also, I have this dinosaur laying around:

I added a 700 watt PSU & a MSI Twin Frozr Nvidia GPU[circa 2009], maybe something can be salvaged from it. Thanks in advance

Please feel free to critique & tweak my choices. What would be the limit of this build capabilities?
