CPU-GPU combo for 1080p gaming

20 June 2015 - 01:15 PM

Hello all. I intend to game on this 1080p monitor: http://www.newegg.co...=9SIA4S81ZU4142Know a better monitor for 1080p gaming?Do suggest.

Now,I want to use a CPU that is able to handle a GPU that is able to churn out 60+ fps on ALL games, without any hiccups or stutters. The thing is the CPU should be able to handle the data from the GPU,and just about that.I wish to spend money on the GPU and not as much on the CPU.I expect intelligent replies from the talented and helpful folk on this forum.Thanks.

troublesome wifi setup

01 August 2014 - 06:11 AM

Hi.

I use a broadband internet connection.I use the cable directly connected with my pc,to use the internet. However after some ''maintenance'' I need to connect with dial-up(?) using my username and password. However this is new to me.Ago I just connecte the cable direclty and browsed. No connecting with dial-up or shit.I also have problems with my wifi.I connect the cable given by my ISP to the wifi router(WAN port) and the wifi is on but no internet, sometimes the wifi doesn't even start. My router is the Tp-Link WR740N : http://www.tp-link.c...l=TL-WR740N.Any one can help me in this regard?

Watercooled 780 Tis dual sli or R9 295x2 in CF for 4k gaming

13 June 2014 - 04:49 AM

The EVGA GTX 780 Ti Hydro Copper:http://www.evga.com/...=03G-P4-2889-KR

SAPPHIRE R9 295X2 8GB GDDR5 OC:http://www.sapphiret...sn=&lid=1&leg=0

My planned $1200 water loop:

XSPC RayStorm High Performance Acetal CPU Liquid Cooling Block - Special Edition Copper

Black Ice GTX Xtreme 480 Radiator(2 pieces)

Swiftech MCP655™ 12v Water Pump w/ Speed Control and 3/8" Conversion Kit (317 GPH)

XSPC Photon 270 Tube Glass Cylinder Reservoir

EK EKoolant Premium Liquid Cooling Premix Coolant - 1L - UV Blue

Bitspower Matte Black G1/4" Barb Fitting - 1/2" ID (BP-MBWP-C01)(14 pieces)

Primochill Nylon Reusable UV Reactive Hose Clamp - UV Blue - 3/4" OD(14 pieces)

PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing 1/2"ID x 3/4" OD - 10ft Retail Pack - Brilliant UV Blue (PFLEXA10-34-B) w/ Free Sys Prep

Corsair Air Series SP120 (CO-9050014-WW) 120mm PWM High Performance Edition High Static Pressure Fan (Twin Pack)(8 packs)

MB-ASSTX79 Water Block (ASUS Sabertooth X79 Motherboard)

BitFenix Recon Fan Controller

Phobya G1/4 Inline Temp Sensor Coupler - 2-Pin (71170)(2 pieces)

PrimoChill - Threaded G 1/4 Funnel - Blue (PC-GF-B)

Bitspower G1/4 Triple Rotary Y Fitting - Matte Black (BP-MB3RYB)(3pieces)

XSPC 4 x 120mm Radiator Gasket - 3mm(4 pieces)

PrimoChill Anti-Kink Coils - 3/8 OD" Tubing - UV Blue

Phobya Reservoir Filter Sponge - 30x30x30mm

Distilled water

IandH Silver KillCoils - Antimicrobial .999 Fine Silver Tubing / Reservoir Strip

Gelid Solutions GC-3 Extreme Thermal Compound - 3.5 Grams (TC-GC-03-A)(2 pieces)

I have two options;use the 295x2s in CF with  no loop. The other is getting the 780 Tis in SLI.Question is will the 295x2s be THAT much better than the watercooled 780 Tis?I really like watercooling so would not mind a little difference in performance.Again, will the difference in performance become minimal when the 780 Tis are overclocked with such a beastly loop?

Will a HAF X fit my custom water loop?

09 February 2014 - 09:34 AM

This is my water loop:
XSPC RayStorm High Performance Acetal CPU Liquid Cooling Block - Special Edition Copper

Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta Triple 120mm Radiator - 80mm Thick

Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta Dual 120mm Radiator - 80mm Thick

Swiftech MCP655™ 12v Water Pump w/ Speed Control and 3/8" Conversion Kit (317 GPH)

XSPC Photon 270 Tube Glass Cylinder Reservoir

EK EKoolant Premium Liquid Cooling Premix Coolant - 1L - UV Blue

Bitspower Matte Black G1/4" Barb Fitting - 1/2" ID (BP-MBWP-C01)

Primochill Nylon Reusable UV Reactive Hose Clamp - UV Blue - 3/4" OD

Alphacool G1/4 90° Low Profile Fitting Adapter - Deep Black

PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing 1/2"ID x 3/4" OD - 10ft Retail Pack - Brilliant UV Blue (PFLEXA10-34-B) w/ Free Sys Prep

Corsair Air Series SP120 (CO-9050014-WW) 120mm PWM High Performance Edition High Static Pressure Fan (Twin Pack)

Noctua NF-P14 FLX 140mm Case cooler

MB-ASSTX79 Water Block (ASUS Sabertooth X79 Motherboard)

XSPC 5.25" Bay Temperature Sensor Dual Display Mount (BAYSENS)

Thing is I want to put the 360 on top in push-pull configuration. So total thickness will be 80 + 25x2=130mm.Question is will it fit my case?My motherboard is the Asus Sabertooth X79.Again I want to use the 240 along the 5.25' bay as I will only use 1 ssd.Do you think the airflow will be good(this too will be in push-pull)?Though I can afford to get a much bigger case,I really like the HAF X and could do with a little modding.
