  1. Thanks Eva. It's running fine at the moment at 1667MHz. I rely on this machine for work and communication and can't afford for it to be down. I have some spare time in a couple of weeks so will take on your suggestions then and give it a go. I'll edit this with results in case it shows up in someone else's search.
  2. Thanks bishop245. I'll have a look. It's great to have a starting point. I have a difficulty in that I am using the machine in question to post so it is a painfull, start / stop affair. I have set the Mobo jumper to 133 as suggested (where is this figure listed for the CPU?) and now have a "CPU speed detected" of 1666. The bios for this Mobo does not seem to have a multiplier setting that I can find. Now that the board jumper is set at 133, I can adjust that setting in the bios up to 233. At that level the DDR setting ends up over 400. I believe the RAM that I have is DDR400 but the board is only 333. The best CPU speed I can get (while still keeping the DDR down to 333) is 166. I'm not keen to try this without some further feedback as I really don't have a great idea what I'm doing. Hope the extra detail helps in making suggestions. Thanks again.
  3. I'm new to the forum and building systems as well. Just bought an Albatron KM400 Pro with an XP2000 CPU. I have 256MB DDR Ram. The board states FSB333 and DDR333. I get a message that the processor is running at 1250MHz during startup and the same info in the BIOS. Is this correct and where to next?
