ZoKi Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Hey guys, Has anyone tried volt modding there 6600GT either AGP or PCI-E? I read the article on vr-zone and seems pretty easy. . Just would like to know if anyone has actually tried it with a pencil, and if so have you seen big improvements? I'm planning on trying it on my Albatron 6600GT PCI-E card model. VR ZONE ARTICLE Thanx
THunDA Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Just like any volt mod you need to try it and see where it takes YOUR card.. Pencil mods are good but you need to be carefull that pencil doesnt get anywhere else.. that would be BAD.. Go easy on the pencil and take your time to test it.. Keep a close eye on temps too.. I volt modded my x850xt and with my air cooling it wasnt really worth it because I cant give it the volts it needs because of temps.. But for me, I was just happy to do it and not fry something..hehe..
