Guest Kronos Posted August 8, 2005 I'm now running my system with OCZ 2GB (4 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 500 OCZ5001024ELDCGEVX-K. Installation was of course was a snap (2 snaps actually). I forgot to turn off Command Per Clock (CPC) before I booted up the first time so my system didn't post. I quickly removed the extra sticks of RAM and remedied that. I didn't need to change anything else in my setup. I'll most likely continue to run my system as per my specs below. BUT, I'm more than willing to listen to any suggestions out there. I did notice the drop in benchmark scores, but I believe that the REAL WORLD gains will more than make up for that. Let's face it benchmarks are great for . matches, but I build my systems for myself and not to impress the masses. Rezag1000 Posted August 8, 2005 so you got your memory to 250 mhz with 4 sticks? nice
thenickmix Posted August 9, 2005 Care to do some comparisons in games? I know the extra 1GB makes a world of difference in BF2, I'm curious if the extra GB makes up for having to disable CPC in regular games like Half-Life 2, Far Cry, Doom
Aarrggimapirate Posted August 9, 2005 Maybe post some super pi 1m, 2m, and 32mb benchies? Just wondering the diff between 2t and 1t
Rezag1000 Posted August 9, 2005 yeah, I dont want to gian BF2 performance at the price of HL2 and CSS
Guest Kronos Posted August 9, 2005 I'll post some comparisons after I'm done with my new OC Database entry. My new entry for 4X512MB 2T along with my current entry for 2X512MB 1T will give you a good picture on the differences between the 2. I should be done with my OC entry by tomorrow.
