bigl523 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 mbm5/speedfan/bios/smartguardian all say 1.24V for my cpu for my x2 at default voltage. take it with a grain of salt.
b-w-d.net Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 Dropped ram down to ddr333 after some tests and seems more stable now. Also snapping the plastic casing off the 12v rail helped get better contact w/ the motherboard so the 12v line has gone up quite considerably, seems to more or less resolve the issue with raising vcore in bios & no great effect in actual reading, although like dmo was saying the soft. readings are always off a bit. Gonna have to try and tweak the ram up to ddr400 now :S damnit. Atleast I wont need to RMA anything tho
soundx98 Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 So just to be clear. you are using the 6-23 bios for your x2, correct?
b-w-d.net Posted August 12, 2005 Posted August 12, 2005 well, its N4D623-3.BIN, so I suppose so yes. now it seems like its just a case of getting that ram stable at ddr400. I was so sure that it was already stable though!? memtest ran for a couple of hours with no errors at all yet I later found prime would fail after less than a minute with the ram running ddr400. Looks like this will need some serious tweaking to get this running propperly.
