Cool'n'Quiet on X2 4400+

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried Cool'n'Quiet with the X2 cpus? and does it work ok?

And why doesn't the DFI website have the latest version of the Cool'n'Quiet drivers?

DFI website = 1.1.0.14

AMD website = 1.2.2.2

Which one would be best to use?

CnQ works with X2, you need the latest AMD driver for the X2 and your OS. But I would recommend Rightmark CPUClock instead. Disable CnQ and use RMCC. That give's you the possibility to adjust the voltage for each multiplier and also gives you the 4x multi, CnQ only goes down to 5x.

I tested version 1.2.2.2 (this one is needed for dual core anyway) and it seems to work ok. :)
