Guest area51 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 About 3 weeks ago I bought a ATI Silencer 2 for a 9600 XT in a system I was building for someone. It fits all 9600 Pro/XT's EXCEPT sapphire as I found out a little too late so... I suppose I could put in on ebay but to be candid it just is not worth it to me. I decided instead to offer it to you guys here at the street. I have picked up a lot of good information here and figure it is my little way of saying thanks. It is brand new and has never been used. I took it out of the package realized I was skr3wed and put it right back in... I will send it to the first person who posts a reply response in this thread. All I ask is you live in the lower 48 because I don't want to pay shipping to freaking Mozambania. Once you post, you can pm me with your address and I will send it out Monday morning. According to Arctic Cooling it will fit 9600 pro, 9600 xt, x600pcie, x600 pro, x600 xt, x600 aiw AND as I discovered it will NOT fit the new Sapphire 9600xt...has three tall capacitators on top in a bad spot... charlie22911 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 ACE, i was wondering about weather or not it would work myself. but if your AIW 9600 is anything like mine then it most likly wont fit. the stand offs on the silencer have no place to be mounted... PC1X1 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I'll take it and I'll make it fit if it doesn't , and I'll take pics hehe of progress, please consider anyone in front of me before though. Looking at it, I am pretty sure it will fit my X300, with relative easy modding, I am going to see if I can get in it in there, without modding the cooler, as I am saving up to get my 4 an X800 in a little bit, so I know for sure it will fit there. Would be an interesting project though. Checked the compability, might be a problem, but I am willing to mod it, and experiment, thought if someone has a dire need for it, then consider them I guess, hehe.
