mugenoel Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 the motherboard alone already supports 3.1v and u can just do a Volt mod....there is sumwhere here that they discussed using the volt mod..
NickS Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 Why do a volt mod when you can go out and buy a DDR Booster .

Yashu Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 I think it works... I stuffed one on that board and the display on the booster did not work... but using the bios voltage readout the booster does actually seem to do what it is supposed to... You just have to adjust while the machine is on in bios while watching the voltage measurement there in bios. but who knows... I don't have RAM that really wants high voltage but it seems to work. charlie22911 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 volt mods are obvious when you want to RMA your dead board, so i can see the purpose of a booster. also as a compatibility note, boosters are compatible with only certain boards, here is a compatibility chart in which your board is not listed: http://www.ocztechnology.com/displaypage.p...bocompatibility it may work but its not tested officially. Angry_Games Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 you guys should maybe read the product specs...a little reading is good for you http://www.ocztechnology.com/displaypage.p...bocompatibility
Guest Blooz1 Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 aznchowboy650, please make a sig with your equipment and settings as per Forum rules, Without a sig, I can't see what kind of "stupid gold vx" you have. I'm also running "gold vx", an nF3 UT 250, and just recently removed my DDR Booster. (Yes, my readout worked) My ram is running 2-2-2-8, [email protected], rock steady without the booster.
