Bios Boot Logo's

Recommended Posts

Kekambas,

Did you get it to work for you?

You mention several files but have you actually tried the modified bios file?

If you haven't got it to work let me know and I will send off a PM so you can send the files to me.

sorry, this is the first time i guess i've done anything somewhat complicated with a bios. here's my current situation:

1. downloaded 704-1BTA.BIN

2. ran cbrom to update the logo

3. NOW WHAT? how do i actually flash? i've always just used the tmod disc before.

thanks

ok, i was going to try and place an image into a 704-2bta bios.

so i HAVE the 704-2bta.BIN file, then type into cmd:

"cbrom 704-2BTA.BIN /logo mylogo.bmp"

it works...i guess. it outputs a Bios.ROM file, a SFV file and a FILE_TUS.BIN file, all of which are very small.

something wrong?

Hi,

which files do you copy on the floppy disk for the bios update? I've always copied only the bin file. This is the right way, right?

Can you make a boot logo like this http://users.keyway.net/~tmod700/BiosLogo.jpg for dfi rdx200 cf-dr motherboard, but i want this motherboard in background http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/2192/board9yh.jpg

I imagine it could be done but I am tied up at the moment with some projects around the house so I will get to it when I have some spare time.

Unless someone else cares to do it then have at it.

I made one in 16-bit color (640x480) for you. It should work. It's the same basic design as the other one but with a few different twists. I zipped the PSD in too if you or someone else wants/needs it.

I also have the Lan Party logo extracted with a transparent background here:

And the RDX mobo extracted with a transparent background here:

That would be a no go on getting that image into the Rdxdc23.bin file.

I get the not enough space error message.

It is strange that the bios will only accept so many colors or combinations regardless of the size of the file. I think it has to do with how much compression it needs to make it fit in the bios.

I am having the same problem with a few that I made as well.

If the background image of the motherboard itself was removed it might work that way.
